"So you thought you could leave without me?" Aura questions with a slight smirk dancing across her face.
"Well, I hoped." I shrug with utter despair glancing my way.
Her eyes glimmer whilst her laughter escalates. She walks with such confidence and determination that I'm pretty sure that she knows our destination already. There it is, her car. Now she has a drivers license. I know nothing about cars, her car is black I can tell you that. That's all.
She opens her door and glides in, waiting for me to do the same.
Chewing her gum, she looks at me.
"Address." She gestures me to hand over the note, holding out her left hand.
Defeated, I hand her the address.
She scans it almost for a split second, maybe a quarter of a split second and then spits her chewing gum into it. Yuck. Silently, she opens her car door and walks towards the bin to chuck it away.
I bet she already knows the address.
She holds a mutual expression and continues to look unbothered. Once she's back in the drivers seat, she begins to drive.
As quiet as a defeated loser, I just slouch and bang my head on the car seat. Closing my eyes to view my future, nothing.
I'm just....
...
Bang!
An unpleasant, ringing sound roars into my ears. My eyes trying its best to adjust to what's in front of me even though everything's so blurry. Everything seems so much more louder than it is. I can hear the wind and the birds chirping. I can hear children laughing and ringing their bells on their bikes. The feeling of coldness makes my spine shiver while the smell of grass makes my nose twitch.
I open my mouth to say something, anything. Instead, a bright light conquers my vision, silencing my thoughts.
Where am I?
"You're such an lazy ass, did you know that?" A cold voice echoes.
I close my eyes hard to concentrate on the voice, the words, the tone.
A few moments later something startles me to jolt up. I feel a burning sensation on my skin, causing me to scream.
Vision's finally intact making me fully aware of my surroundings. I'm in Amelia's car. Oh God, Amelia's here too. She's got a devil in her eye that's for sure. The way she's staring at me ever so maliciously can't be humane.
"Finally awake?" She mocks me.
I nod with my eyes closed. I really don't want to be awake right now.
Instantly she grabs my hand, forcing me to leave my dreamland and back into reality.
"I know that you're not on Carrie's and Ash's good books, why?" Her stern look signals shivers.
Ugh who even says 'good books' anymore?
"I'm guessing you already know why." I yawn.
Please don't make me talk, I'm so tired as it already is.
"Mm," she looks up, "Slightly."
I don't bother to react. I just want to relax and do nothing. I just woke up!
"So here's the deal." She widens her eyes business like. "I've been trying to track down their boss for ages now, so let me play double agent."
I arch an eyebrow, "Huh?"
"Listen, for every clue you get I'll tell you more about my intentions. How many clues do you have now?"
"No I don't trust you." I begin to stand my ground, figuratively.
She rolls her eyes in disbelief. "Don't make this harder than it has to."
"It's not hard, you're just complicating it." I open the car door and shockingly, it's unlocked.
I walk towards a vacant park. It looks like the one on the campus. The only difference is that nobody is present. I love the emptiness.
"I'll be in house 79!" I can hear Amelia shouting in the distant as I get further away.
She doesn't even seem bothered. She isn't even trying to stop me at all. I guess I will go back to her eventually.
Wait...
House 79?
That's the house! Their great grandad's house.
I run back towards the car, "Hold up."
Amelia gets out of the car and waves me over. She turns to the left and points at a really pretty, old fashioned house.
House 79.
