One month later...
We're finally receiving our results from our mocks. My scholarship says I have to literally ace everything as an A in order to continue attending here.
I'm one of the first to receive my results and one of the first the leave. I look at my paper, bracing myself for the worst. I only got one A which was from biology. I got a B on the others. The worst came but I wasn't prepared enough. I should've studied more instead of leaving it to the last minute but no, I was too busy pre-judging everyone.
As soon as I head to my dorm, I quickly pack away my things not allowing myself to feel anything. Just pack your things and leave, pretty simple. I grab a piece of paper to write a goodbye note to Aura but then realized that Aura doesn't deserve that. She deserves a proper goodbye even though she and I barely shared a room. Only a month, still.
I jump into my bed and soon doze off. I always doze off.
...
"Levi!" Aura practically screams in my ears.
"What?" I groan as I then to face her.
I see her holding my suitcase and bag while she gives me unpleasing look. I forgot all about that. Oh yeah, I'm leaving.
"I didn't get the grades. I lost my scholarship." I state almost emotionlessly but an emotion manages to creep into my voice, fear.
I quickly get up. Running away from your problems is pointless, it's better to face them. I attempt to grab my suitcase but instantly Aura smacks my hand away.
"What was that for?" I ask defensively as I massage my hand.
"You know what!" Aura snaps and remains still. "Do you seriously think I'm going to let you leave just because you didn't to get the grades?"
I shrug. "Well I have no choice."
"This is the real world! Democracy exists!" Aura finally let's go off my suitcase and bag and walks towards me. "Welcome to reality, reality where you can reinvent the rules!"
She's right. How could they think that I'll ace every single mock I take? After all, they're just mocks.
I smile at her showing my appreciation.
"Go on you coward." Aura smirks.
"Not now!" I moan.
"Why?"
"I'm tired..."
"What? You just slept! No excuses human who acts like she can bend the rules but doesn't do a thing and just sleeps to get away from her problem." Aura manages to speak really fast.
I begin to laugh, "Okay, okay! I'm going!" I rush out so she doesn't have time to think of new, ridiculous insults.
