"What's the rush?"
A familiar voice questions. I turn around to see it's Frank waving at me.
"Biology." I call out in no attempt to walk towards him.
Soon he catches up with me. "So, I want to ask you something."
I arch an eyebrow indicating that he can continue but he doesn't. "Yes?"
He clears he throat still, his green eyes still holding their gaze. A slight smile appears on his face. Suddenly, music dances around us and rose petals start to fall. I look above to see Alex and a few other people gently dropping the rose petals from the second fall. How did she manage to get to the second floor that fast? Wow, she's smart.
I touch my hair to take out the petals and that's when it hit me. Alex didn't write the note, Frank did.
"Sorry but I don't do... Whatever this is." I state as I turn to walk away.
He laughs, he just laughs quietly making me feel nervous. I just about reach the door to enter the building but then I realize the falling petals change colours. It's really dark blue, like midnight.
"Let's make the petals red again?" I turn around to see that he's holding a bunch of red roses.
This hurts, the cheesiness hurts.
"I prefer it blue." That's all I say and turn back around to enter the building.
Call me cold hearted or heartless for all I care, I barely know the guy. I admit it was sweet but the cheesiness was killing me. Oh, how selfish of me to not fall for his cheesiness. I admit, if he asked whatever he was going to ask sooner instead of taking years, I might've accepted but nah, he wanted to take years to leave me in suspense. Too bad for him, I'm mortal. I don't have that much time to spare. Besides, I don't have the energy to care to be suspicious in the first place.
The bell rings.
Crap, I'm late. Thanks a lot Frank.
...
Finally, biology is over. I barely survived.
Unfortunately, Laura and Abigail are in my biology class, no wonder I hate it so much. I'll be honest, I never really took notice of them before but now, they are annoying as... They're just their own special type of annoying.
"Oooh Levi and Frank!" Laura screams on the top of her lungs to catch everyone's attention.
Well, it clearly worked. Everyone is facing to her direction and then they take a quick glance at me.
"I ship them." Abigail squeals and then a smirk appears. "Levi can have my used toy, I don't mind."
My eyes widen in disbelief. Frank went out with Abigail. Well, I admit that he is pretty confident and his gestures are a bit too extreme.
I walk up to Abigail and Laura, "Let me guess, you fell for his cheesy gestures?"
"He's all yours." She scoffs.
"Did you fall for him when he left a note, played music and then petals started dropping?" I smirk at her, having a feeling he did.
Her eyes enlarges as I see her hesitate for a second, only a second though. "How... You and him belong together, you're both trash."
"It's clear that you easily fall to basic, cheesy gestures. After all, you don't know what originality is." Now a smirk appears on my face.
Laura remains silent, she doesn't move her mouth a single inch to defend her friend. Meanwhile, it's obvious Abigail backed down when she looks at anything but me. I don't get them. They start drama together but when it comes to only victimizing one of them, the other one backs down. I thought I'd envy their friendship, their loyalty but I don't. They just like getting each other embarrassed without having the decency to back each other.
Maybe it's called being mature and independent, I don't know. I shouldn't even be thinking about their friendship but it honestly confuses me. Neither of them are sidekicks, they're just partners in useless drama. They don't even finish it together.
I miss those days that were Abigail and Laura drama free.
