A week later

"Matt Slow down" I laughed as he grabbed my wrist an pulled me threw the streets to a little café.

"What are we doing here?" I asked looking up at him.

"We are having lunch with my Aunt Debbie who owns this place." He told me with a smirk on his face.

"Matt" I hissed. "A little warning next time."

He thought about it and said "Nope uh-uh"

"Fine what ever." I said as he held the door open for me.

He just smiled and followed me in.  "So where is she" I asked looking around for someone who resembled Matt.

"Over there" he told me pointing at a corner booth with a lady sitting at it.

'She looks nothing like you" I said as we approached.

"I know" he said his smile growing.

We sat down and I reached fro the menu only to have it snatched from my by Matt.

"Hey" I cried glaring at him playfully.

"I'm ordering for you today." He said.  "My aunt makes the best burger."

I stuck my tongue out at him and was about to speak when Debbie spoke up.

"You two are so cute together."

I flushed a light pink and bit my lip as I wished that we were together in the sense that she meant.  Then I mentally hit myself Ii am a warrior not a blushing school girl.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by Matt saying. "What's yours Eli?"

"I'm sorry what I was lost in my own thoughts."  I said causing Matt to raise an eyebrow.  By now he knew me well enough to know that I usually paid attention to every detail.

"We were wondering about your favorite band sweetie."  Debbie said.

"Well I don't really listen to music but I guess it would be Nickel back." I told them.

After another half hour of talking to Debbie we left.

"So did you like your burger?"  Matt asked me.

"Yeah" I answered. 'I haven't had one since I was sixteen."

"Since you were sixteen" He gasped.  "Your diet has deprived you of so much."

"Yours has deprived you of proper nutrients"  I said flicking his nose.

"But mine is tasty." He said as if that meant he won.  Which in his head it did.

I just stuck tongue out at him again and we walked towards the university.

"Bye" I said and turned to walk back to his house.

"Wait" He said and grabbed my arm.  Fortunately I was well trained and didn't automatically flip him when he did.

"Yes" I asked turning to face him.

He pulled my close and planted a kiss on my lips before whispering "Be my girlfriend."

"Of course" I said at the same volume.  We shared one last kiss before we went our separate ways. The only thought in my head being Finally.
