17. It's a boy and a girl!!

Today is the day of the party. The boys came over early to help decorate. Mavis was over as well. I'm not going to lie Michael is looking so good in his black shirt and black pants. Even though I tell him his pants are tighter then mine he still looks good. I couldn't help but stare at him through my kitchen window.

"Yo earth to Lexi." I broke my concentration and looked at Mavis. She was waving her hand in front of my face. She was smiling trying not to laugh.

"What?"

"Nothing Lex." I couldn't help but smile. She is such a sweet girl. She also makes Luke happy which I love. Now if only I can get my brother and Ashton to settle down to be happy. Maybe even Micahel. I looked at my phone. It's getting close. I took the apron off. I asked Mavis to help me take this food outside to put it on the table. The boys and Frank lit the grill up. And when I say lit I mean there's a huge fire where the grill is. They all laughing. They were suppose to be grilling hot dogs and burgers. We also have all the fixing for that. Also potato salad. Baked beans. Chips dip. A vegetable tray and and fruit tray. Also the cake is a blue and pink marble with white icing. There's blue and pink polka dots all over it. Cute blue and pink sneakers and the words "the Clifford twins are a.." Yes we like to call them Clifford twins for now. Everything looked great. We had streamers up. Table clothes. Cute table toppers. I was really impressed. People started showing up. Before I knew it everyone was here and having a good time. We were all talking and laughing. Amber text and asked me to record the big reveal and send it to her. I walked around talking to everyone with Mavis. We have grown really close. I noticed Rebecca walk up with her friend Janet in tow. Of course they dressed the same. Teal cami shirt with a Jean shorts and wedges.

"Who dresses like to a gender reveal party?" I heard Mavis asked. I looked over at her and smiled.

"Thirsty sluts." We laughed. She grabbed my hand and lead me to the food table. I looked at food and couldn't decide what I wanted to eat. I grabbed a burger and someone grabbed my hand. I looked at Mavis.

"You have to make sure it's well done. Parasites live in undercooked meat. Not good for pregnancy." I gave a 'really' look. Calum walked up.

"Are these well done?" I asked him

"Probably not." He shoved a burger in his mouth. Gross. The rest all walked over. I put it on my plate. Michael took it off.

"What the hell man?"

"I have to check to see if it done all the way." I glared at him as he broke the patty. He handed it to me. I looked at him and started pouting.

"But I like undercooked meat."

"I know but it's not good for y'all. It will give y'all parasites." I snatched the patty and walked on to finished making my plate. Mavis and I went to go sit on the steps. It was in the back but not where everyone will noticed me to much. It was on the far side. Luke of course came to sit by Mavis and the rest followed. I glared at them as they all sat by us. Frank sat down beside me. Rebecca and Janet walked up.

"Hey baby. I was looking for you. I was wondering if you wanted to come with Janet and I?"

"Where you going?" He asked eating a hot dog. I try not to pay her attention but we was all watching her and Janet.

"A bunch of us are going out to Ricky's for a big bonefire. Come with us?"

"Okay sounds like fun." She smiled.

"Great let's go." She reached for his hand. I nearly dropped my plate. Is he seriously going to skip out on the party for her?

"What? I can't go now. This is kinda my party. Well mine and Lexi's." She shot an evil look at me. She crossed her arms. Oh no she's about to cause a scene.

"I don't know why you choose her over me. I'm your girlfriend." I was getting mad. Mavis grabbed my hand.

"Rebecca please don't cause a scene. I'm not choosing her over you. I have obligations now. I'm sorry you can't understand that. After the party and later on tonight maybe yeah. But not now." She glared at Michael she went to open her mouth but was cut off.

"I think you need to leave Rebecca. No offence to you or anyone else. But your ruining my sister's and best friends party.". No one was paying us any attention.

"Well maybe if she kept her damn legs closed none of this would happen." She glared at me. I couldn't help what happen next. I jumped from my spot and punch her in the nose. I felt the bone crack. Blood squirted out. I grabbed her by the hair and dragged her to the side of the house to the front. I dragged her screaming to her car and rammed her head into her door.

"Now as the third person who has told you and the pregnant hostess get the hell out of here." I turned to see Mavis walking Janet out to the car. Janet hair was a mess and she was covered in grass. Her lip was bleeding bad. Mavis had her in a arm lock. She pushed on the ground on top of Rebecca. I smiled at Mavis as she straighten herself out. We walked back to the party.

"What happen?"

"Well after you jumped on Rebecca Janet try to jump in. But I couldn't let that happen so I tackled her. But don't worry no one even notice." I couldn't help but smile.

"I'm so going to hear about this." All she said was yup. We walked up to the steps and the boys were laughing and talking about it. Till the saw me. Then they all turned into parents. Saying how I shouldn't had done that. I could had harm the babies. Even though that was cool it was wrong. I rolled my eyes and smiled. It was pretty cool.
Later we gathered everyone around. I had the gift bags sitting on the table. Michael stood beside me. I handed him the first bag. He reached in and pulled the boy outfit. It was a Nirvana outffit. One of his favorite band. He was so excited.

"Baby A is a boy." I said rubbing my belly. "Go on do the second one." I held the phone where Amber could see good. He grabbed the second bag and pulled a cute girl Nirvana outfit.

"And as you can see its a girl." I screamed. He looked so happy and everyone clapped. He reached over and hugged me. He let go after awhile and rubbed my stomach. I couldn't help the tear swelling up. He looked like he wanted to cry but he didn't. Everyone came up to congratulate us. His mama was so happy she was crying. I saw him with his dad and it made me miss my dad. I must had looked sad cause Calum came over and hugged me. He let go and smiled. My mom walked up and hugged me. We all talked. Slowly everyone was leaving and the party was dying down. Karen invited my mom and I over for dinner one night. Which I accept. Kinda nervous about that now. Soon it was just the boys, Frank, Mavis, and I left. Mavis and I started taking down the decorations.

"So I was thinking that the two bedrooms I will turn one into a boys room and the other into a girls room. I know they'll be in mine for the first couple months. I'm not sure yet."

"Yeah I heard sometimes it's easier to put them on a schedule. They sleep better alone. I guess with every child you have to play it by ear. Do you know what you want to rooms to be decorated as? "

"Girl I haven't even bought anything. No funiture or diapers. Or clothes." I joked. Then she looked at me and grinned.

"I know. Tomorrow we could go shopping!" What? "Yeah we could make it a girls day. Besides you need a girls day between work and the boys you never get that. Come on please?" She begged.

"Okay yes we can." She screamed yay. We finished cleaning and straighten everything up. The boys went home and Mavis went over to Lukes. Frank stayed behind. I was tired so we just laid on the couch watching netflix.
