He stood up with a slightly surprised expression on his face, "So it seems to be true. You always meet twice."
A little taken aback because of the coincidence I looked to the girls watching us and questioning the relation between the both of us.
Then he took his backpack from my seat and flicked it over his shoulder, "Sorry for taking your seat, strange lady."
He took a step towards another seat but stopped when I responded, "I would be grateful if you started calling me by my name instead of adressing me as strange lady."
He turned back to me, took a quick look at my name tag and then sat down on another empty seat.
I had taken a quick look at his name tag before he had left. His name was Im Taeyeong or so.

Breaktime
"I heard you had trouble with Junwoo last night" Joohyuk, who took a giant bite from his sandwich noted.
"How did you know?" I asked, sipping at my strawberry milk.
"The whole neighborhood talks about Mrs Lee's son causing trouble again. Now talk."
"Junwoo wanted to pick a fight with the son of the new owners of the big house a few streets over our neighborhood. I came in time and stopped him. That's all."
"He didn't do anything to you, right?" he took another bite of his sandwich.
"You know better than anyone else that I can defend myself."
"I know, but Junwoo's a big dude. I just wanted to be sure."
"I'm okay.. regarding this matter. But talking about the fact that you can't train me for a whole month, I am not" I sighed.
He sighed as well, "Not that again."
"Joohyuk. That person was spotted in town again. I have to be able to protect myself and my mother. I can't seek shelter behind you, my neighbors or anyone else anymore."
"You're the same as a sister to me. Letting me help you and your mother doesn't mean seeking shelter."
I stood up "Okay, let's stop here. We talked too many times about that."
"Sit down, Jihye. That's no reason to make me look like a loser without friends here." Joohyuk ordered me, pointing at the seat I stood up from.
"But you're a loser without friends" I mocked him and sat down again.
"Stop pretending to be cool and tell me if you heard about that new transfer student."
"Do you mean that Im Taeyeong guy?"
"Who? I'm talking about the boy called Kim Taehyung. He's rumored to be a great fighter. People say he used to be the strongest guy and a thug at his old school."
"Never heard of him but I bet the others are just exaggerating. You shouldn't pay much attention to rumors."
"You might be right. He doesn't seem like a thug to me either. Anyways, we'll see if it's just a rumor."
"What do you mean?" I raised an eyebrow, taking another sip from my strawberry milk.
"Baekwoo, Minjoon and Seughoon seem to have heard about that rumor as well. They want to pay that guy a visit after school and check if it's true."
I sighed, "What a bunch of idiots."
"I'm curious though."
"It's three against one. What are you curious about? About the number of bruises that Taehyung guy's gonna get?"
"You know my friend Jimin, right? Jimin's a close friend of that Taehyung guy and claimed that he could fight at least four people at once. I'm really curious."
"Joohyuk, don't tell me you're going to watch how those idiots beat up that boy."
"'Why? You wanna join?" Joohyuk grinned.
"How could I forgot you're an idiot yourself?" I sighed.

The bell rang, signalizing the end of class.
Like everyone else, I started packing my books into my backpack and left the classroom afterwards.
I made my way to my locker to put my books inside.
While decoding it I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see Taeyeong standing in front of me, scratching the back of his head.
"Do you need something?" I asked as I turned back to my locker to put my books inside.
"Yeah, do you know where the nurse's office is?"
I closed my locker and took a quick look at my watch, "I don't have a lot of time so let's hurry. I'll show you."
"All right" he flashed me a smile.
"Come" I gestured him to follow me and started walking towards the nurse's office.
I stopped as we arrived in front of the room. "Here we are."
"Thank you for showing me" he cracked a polite smile.
"You're welcome but I really have to go now" I was about to go but he stopped me by holding on to my sleeve.
"Could you wait here for only one minute?" he asked, showing me his index finger.
"Why-"
I was cut off, "Thanks."
He burst into the office and closed the door after entering, leaving me alone in the hallway. I didn't want to be impolite and decided to wait for him since he asked me to.
I sat down on the bench in the hallway and waited patiently.
He left the room, holding a band aid in his hand. After spotting me on the bench he made his way over, "There you are."
"Why did you want me to wait for you?" I looked up to him.
The next moment he kneeled down in front of me, "I forgot to thank you last night." He looked up to me and cracked me a smile. "Sounds weird saying that, but thank you for protecting me." He removed the wrapper around the band aid and put it carefully on my knee, which I gashed the night before.
A little taken aback by that action, I still managed to keep cool, "You don't have to thank me. I did it for the family of the guy."
"I already thought so. But whatever the reason is, you did it. We're living in an environment in which you should take nothing for granted" he stood up and then looked down to face me.
"You have a point there" I stood up as well. I didn't notice in that moment but we were standing incredibly close for two people who just met.
I turned and started walking, making him follow me "I guess Junwoo would've beaten you black and blue."
He responded to that statement with an amused laughter, "I guess you're right."
