I headed back to Lucy’s room; Levy, Zeref, Loke and Gray came, I could see the doctors coming out, as the doctor closer heading to us; I braced myself for the possible result of what just happened.
“70% of her brain is now dead. Half brain dead is very impossible for a person to still live, now it’s already 70%. I suggest we just let her go” the doctor said...
“Wait? Are you kidding us? Let her go? No way!” Loke answered
Gray suddenly punches the doctor,
“There’s no way we’re giving Lucy up, not on my watch” Gray ended.
Levy pulling Gray away from the doctor, the doctor went on and we were all left unhopeful.
There’s no way I’m giving Lucy up, not until I stop breathing. Lucy will live, I know she will.
They all went inside and I headed to Lucy’s doctor.
“Doc, can you just be honest?” I asked.
“I envy you for this kind of courage to ask that, since you asked that leaves me no choice, this matter has no chance anymore. Miracles do happen but scientifically nobody ever survived with a ¼ active brain cells. The dead part slowly eating the living part; we can’t stop the thing from spreading anymore since it has already taken more than half of the brain. If no one allows for her life support to be removed then, I guess we just have to wait until she lets go herself. Typically in cases like this, when a patient’s brain is already half dead, we advise the parents to just let go and not to let the patient suffer. But her, your girl, I don’t think she’s suffering, I think she’s still fighting and holding on, and I myself pray that hopefully she’ll make it.” The doctor honestly explained.
I walked back heading to Lucy’s room slowly, so she’s dead? Is it? How can you leave me like this Luce? How about the promises we made? I thought we’re still building our home? I tell you Luce. If you die, I die.
Levy opens the door for me, she must’ve noticed I’m coming in.
“Natsu? What are these? Why are there more wires attached unto her?” Gray asked.
I shook my head, telling them I don’t know. Maybe it’s another device to help Lucy live.
I sat on the bench hopeless, and then I saw Levy carrying a large bag with the nerve gear inside.
“Levy? Why the hell did you bring that?” I asked her.
“Natsu, I found this on Lucy’s room.” She said.
“What do you mean? That she also uses nerve gear when she plays video games too?” I asked. I didn’t know Lucy also plays video games.
“Why don’t we put this unto her, and meet with her in the video game? Talk to her and tell her to fight and live” Levy suggested.
“Are you kidding me? This is a big risk! What if the medicines and wires connected to her reacts and creates malfunctions or explosion? That’s impossible” I said.
Her body might not carry all those electricity distributed unto her body and she might get worse. I don’t want to make another mistake again.
“Wait! I know someone who knows about this. I’ll be right back” Zeref interrupted.
Waiting for Zeref to arrive, he comes back with a big long haired guy.
“Natsu, Levy, Gray and Loke! This is Gajeel Redfox, his dad works for the company who created the game we are playing. He knows a lot about it, he would be a great help” Zeref introduced.
“Great help my butt” Levy whispered.
Why is Levy so moody? She should be happy for someone who could help her with this.
“Playing Sword Fairytail Online with a nerve gear is a very dangerous risk, a lot of people suffered with this. Some got addicted, some weren’t able to wake up, and some were depressed after losing a partner or a guild member in the game” Gajeel started explaining.
“Wait? What? Depressed after losing a partner or a guild member in the game? What do you mean?” Loke asked.
“well, for example: you and I met on the game and became partners or guild mates, suddenly you died in the game, game over or you accidentally restarted the game that means you will never remember me.” He explained further.
“Wait? I don’t understand!” Jellal interrupted.
“That’s right Jellal. Just like what happened to us, Natsu, Zeref and I have been playing that game too. Natsu was a solo player until she partnered with Asuna. I was in a guild with Zeref and the player who’s username was Klein. It was too bad he got his game over, he was deleted on my friend’s list but at first I didn’t feel sad because I thought he could just start a new game again, when he did, we waited for him at level 1, I called him but he never remembered me anymore. He doesn’t even know my name” Levy explained.
“Yes, because a new game means a new memory” Gajeel ended.
“So what do we do? Does this mean when Lucy and I meet on the game, she will not recognize me?” I asked.
“If she played this game before, that means she already has an account in the game, since we are operating this and not her, we will be able to know which avatar she is.” Gajeel said.
Gajeel inserted the Sword FairyTail Online CD on his laptop and opened the file, but then it was sad because she wasn’t logged in. She logged out, how will I know her password? Her username? What could her username be? Gajeel asked me what possible username or password would Lucy use, I suggested some but it all didn’t work.
“That leaves us no choice, but to make another account for Lucy.” Gajeel suggested.
“Wait. Can you try.....? Can you try “Asuna”” Levy suggested.
I stared at her with a mad look, why include Asuna in this kind of matter, she’s just a stain I already removed.
“Right! It says here that username is right but password is wrong” Gajeel dictated.
Lucy? Lucy is Asuna? How did that happen? Don’t tell me? My lips were shaking, I can’t believe it. Tears wouldn’t just stop from falling, Zeref hugged me and whispered.
“So it was her. You fell for the same person. I’m glad I met Asuna. I’m glad I met Lucy in the game. I’m glad I played as Kuradeel”
We were all so happy except for Gajeel who was so clueless about what’s happening.
“Gajeel, about the password. Can you try her facebook password, it’s LucyDragneel.” I said.
I hope Lucy wouldn’t mind that I told everyone her password.
“CONGRATULATIONS! PLEASE WAIT UNTIL WE VERIFY THIS ACCOUNT” the screen stated.
We were so excited what the message would flash next on the screen but sadly.
