Little Feet

Chapter 12

I woke up and felt sick.  I ran to the bathroom and puked anything in my stomach.  Jake came in and held my hair,  I think he heard me.  "This is disgusting." I said. 

"But it's for something beautiful" he said.  I nodded remembering the doctors appointment today.  I got excited but also even more nervous. 

"The appointment today.. Are you going?"

"Yes, if you want me too"

"It's your baby too. You can come to all of them" I said.  He smiled and nodded. We went our separate ways and got ready for the appointment at noon.

"I'm scared"

"It's okay Taylor. I was too. " Jessie said driving me and Jake to the hospital. We went to the maternity ward and waited to be called back. They called my name and Jake and I stood up. 

"You two go, I'll be here when you come back" Jessie smiled.  We nodded and followed the nurse. 

"Hi Taylor.  I'm Kaitlyn and I will be your nurse today and for the rest of your pregnancy"

"Hi Kaitlyn,  I am Taylor and this is Jake, the baby's father"

"Are you two together?"

"We were" he said.

"Alright" she smiled.

"How many Teen mothers have you nursed?"

"All I've done is Teen moms. Because I was one. They usually put me on all of the Teen moms and I'm totally okay with it because I've been in your shoes before"

"How old were you?"

"I got pregnant when I was 16 and had my son when I was 17. I finished college when I was 23 and my son was almost 6. It's always just been him and me and we're doing great. It's rough I'm not gonna lie, but you can get through it" she smiled at me.

"Wow. Thank You"

"Not a problem. Now I need you to figure out these forms, both of you, for medical purposes of the baby and the mother, then we can try and see if I can get a picture of the baby for you" she left the room and Jake and I filled out the papers.

"Taylor, she said it was just her and her son. You will not end up like that" He looked at me in the eyes. I nodded and went back to filling out the papers. About 15 minutes later she came back in and took our papers.

"Are you ready to see your baby?" she asked. We nodded and she got some blueish gel out. I rolled up my shirt and she applied some to the barely visible bump.

She turned on the screen and soon a little tiny blob was on the screen, along with the sound of the heartbeat. "Well Taylor and Jake this is your baby, and that is the baby's heartbeat"

"Wow" I said staring at the screen. "Can you print off that picture?"

"Of course" she smiled. She left the room and came back 5 minutes later with four pictures.

"Thank you" I smiled.

"I'll see you back here in 4 weeks" she smiled. I wiped off the gel and we walked out holding the pictures of our baby.

"How'd it go?" Jessie asked.

"Look" I said showing her one of the pictures. She smiled.

"Just wait till you come back and you can actually see arms and legs and other body parts. " she said. Jake pulled out his phone and played a recording of the baby's heart beat.

"It's music to your ears when you hear that sound" Jessie smiled as we walked back to the car.

When we got Kasey was sitting in my room waiting for me. 

"Hey" I smiled. 

"Hey I heard about you having to tell your mom.  Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm okay" I said sitting down on my bed.

"Okay now how was the ultrasound?"

"Look" I said handing her a picture smiling. 

"It's going to be a boy" she laughed looking at it closely. 

"Kase we can't find out for almost 12 weeks"

"That's what you think" she smirked. 

"It's a boy. I bet on it" 

"Okay okay what is your reward and consequence"

"I'm the godmommy if I win and if not I'm the godmommy" she smiled.  I laughed. 

"Okay well I guess your the godmommy, anyway" I laughed.  For the rest of the night we hung out in my room and watched movies and laughed around. Mason came in and said goodnight to Kasey and I.

Nick called Kasey at 3 in the morning and when I picked up he sounded scared. "is Kasey awake?"

"No just me. What's up"

"Nothing it's fine...NICOLAS JACKSON GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE" someone screamed in the back.

"Nick what's going on?"

"I'll be over soon" he said and hung up. An hour later he showed up with his nose bleeding and his shirt ripped.

"Oh my god Nick are you okay?" I asked getting him some tissue.

"I'm fine. it's not even that bad" he said looking at his shirt and wiping his nose. He took it off exposing his very toned and and threw it in the trash.

"I'm going to get Mason. You go to sleep. Thanks Tay" he said going into Masons room. After I went in my room I couldn't fall back asleep and I stayed awake staring at the ceiling wondering what the hell happened to Nick and why he called Kasey.
