Chapter 22

Kelly, Jim, Jason, Jessie and my dad all went to the store to get some things but I think they just made up an excuse to leave me and Nick alone.

We were sitting in my old room and watching Criminal Minds. "I missed you Taylor"

"You didn't act like it. We lost contact so fast Nick"

"It hurt Taylor. You just left! What was I supposed to do?"

"I told you I would come back every once in a while!"

"God damn Taylor you don't understand! I loved you!"

"I loved you too Nick! What was I supposed to do not go home?"

"This is your home!"

"I love it here Nick but I needed my parents,  I needed my dad and I still do.  I love everyone here but I couldn't just leave my parents like that!"

"God Taylor you're being ridiculous! I didn't expect you to leave them I expected you to at least try us long distance!"

"Yeah because I loved the fact that every girl already crawled all over you while I was there so when I'm not there it would be even better!"

"Do you honestly think I would cheat on You?"

"No, maybe. I don't know Nick!"

"I'm not Jace, Taylor I don't just sleep with a whores and get them pregnant left and Right!"

"Get out"

"Taylor I didn't mean that"

"Get out Nick.  Now."

"I'm sorry.  I didn't mean it"

"Get the fuck out and never speak to me again"

Nick left and I layed in the bed curled in a ball.  I got a sharp pain in my pelvis and suddenly the bed was wet.

I stood up slowly and tried to walk downstairs when Jake came out of his room.

"What the hell happened?" he asked sounding genuinely worried. 

"I think my water broke" I said before another sharp pain came.  I screamed and sat down. 

"Oh my god.  Fuck fuck fuck" he said running his hands through his hair. 

"Fuck" I screamed in pain. 

"Taylor shut the fuck up" Hailey said coming out of Jace's room.

"Hailey she's in labor!" Jace screamed.

"Oh shit" she said.

"Oh my fucking" I screamed again when another contraction hit. 

"Jake she needs to go to the hospital!" Hailey screamed. He nodded and slowly leaned to pick me up. Hailey grabbed towels from the closet and followed Jake downstairs.

I screamed again and Jake fumbled with the keys. "Hailey help" he asked pleading with his eyes. She unlocked the car and opened the backseat door in a panic. Jake put me down and Hailey got in with me. Jake ran to the front seat and started the car.

"Fuck Hailey" he kept saying. 

"What can I do?" she asked me. 

"He's coming" I screamed.

"No no can't he wait 10 minutes" Jake  said in a panic.

"I'm sorry Taylor. But do you want me to Uhm like uh"

"Hailey he's coming" I screamed again. 

"Okay Hailey you can do this. It's just birth of your boyfriends baby.  Deep breaths"

"Hailey!" I screamed. She nodded and helped me take off my shorts.

"Oh my god" she said in horror. 

"Okay Jake this baby's head is like right there" Hailey said in even more horror. 

"We have 7 minutes Hailey" he said in a panic.  "You need to do it,  she would do it for you and Paisley"

Hailey shook her head and grabbed one of the towels. "Taylor squeeze this" she said handing me it. "On the count of ten your gonna push"

"Ready?" I screamed in return and she started counting. 

"Okay keep pushing Taylor the head is almost out" I took a breath and started pushing again. 

"I got the head! Come on Taylor!" I screamed some more before I saw lights and sirens behind us. Jake  pulled over as did the lights. 

Jake  ran out of the car and came back with two cops.  One opened the door by Hailey and the other appeared behind me.

"Okay Taylor I'm officer Pete and that is officer Katie.  Your baby's head is out and you just got to do a few more pushes to get the baby okay?" he told Jace to call 911 and give him the phone. 

The female officer took Hailey's spot and started talking to me. The male officer was on the phone talking about an ambulance but the female kept counting and telling me to push.  Before I knew it I heard cries and more sirens. 

Cries.  My baby.  My baby boy is here.  "Congratulations it's a boy" the officer said holding up my baby. She took a towel and wrapped him in it and handed him to me because the umbilical cord was still attached.  When the paramedics showed up they put me on a stretcher and loaded me in the ambulance. 

Hailey got in with me and Jake was on the phone with Jessie.  The last thing I remember  was the doors closing before everything went black.
