Little Feet

Chapter 20

I'm now six months pregnant and I go home in a week.  Nick and I have been together for a few days and Kasey was beyond happy along with Jessie.  Jake and Hailey found out that she is almost five months pregnant and figure out the sex next week sometime.  Hailey and I still don't talk and every once in awhile I hear the rumor that I told her to get an abortion in school but I just ignore it.

As the days count down to me leaving Jessie gets sadder and sadder but she is very attached. Kasey acts like its not happening and I'm staying here forever but I know inside she's freaking out.  Mason and Jace have made me play so many rounds of Mario Kart that I could do the tracks with my eyes closed and still win.  Kason doesn't understand much but he knows I'm leaving and a few days ago he started to cry, causing me and Jessie to cry also. Jason is starting to watch me closer and make sure I'm always safe even though he won't admit it.  Jake told me that he couldn't wait for me to leave Hailey could move in so that's how he feels. 

Nick is a different story.  Nick has been by my side every single day and spends as much time as he can with me. He won't admit but he's terrified to when the day actually comes and I know him and Kasey are gonna break down that day and were going to cry. Me and Nick decided that the day I leave we would break it off.

"Taylor will you go swimming with us?" Kason asked as Mason, Jace and Nick came downstairs.

"Of course I will.  Just let me go change" I said as I went up the stairs slowly and changed into my bikini that barely fits over my boobs anymore but oh well.

When I went back downstairs Jessie and Jason were talking in the kitchen.  "Jason I don't know what I'm gonna do without Taylor here" Jessie said sniffling. 

"I know babe.  Especially if Hailey does move in. "

"Jason, why did we do this to ourselves. We knew we couldn't get attached"

"Because we love her along with Kasey and Nick.  It's gonna be miserable without her but she needs to go home to her parents."

"What about the baby?"

"She can raise him. She is great with children and I know that even if she is struggling her mom is gonna be there for her" he said before I walked outside. I had tears in my eyes but wiped them away before anyone could see.  Kasey was tanning on the chair and Mason was trying to get her to come in and swim.  But she refused.

I climbed in and splashed her with water enough that she just got in. We play a bunch of games until dinner and then we watched movies till we fell asleep.  For the next week we did this until Saturday came along and it was time for me to go.

We all were waiting in the living room waiting for my mom and dad to show up. When they did they came inside.

"Oh my you sure look bigger in person than on Skype sweetie" my mom said as she kissed my forehead and touched my belly.

"Hi mom" I said as I hugged her as tight as could then doing the same thing with my dad.

"Thank you so much Jessie for taking care of her for longer than expected."

"Oh Lisa if you wanna go back so we can keep her longer feel free" Jessie laughed but I knew she was serious.

"Well kiddo, we better get going" my dad said after talking with Nick and Jason. "I'll take your stuff out to the car" he said and my mom helped.

"Goodbye sweetie, we love you and don't forget to call us when that munchkin is making his way" Jessie said crying.

"I won't" I said wiping tears away. I said goodbye to Jason, Mason, Jace, and Kason.
