Chapter 13

Since that night Nick and Kasey have been secretive. Nick doesn't come over as much,  and when he does he doesn't say much to me. Kasey and I haven't talked about it and Mason told me not to bring it up ever again when I asked him.

"Kasey do you wanna go to the cafe with me?" I asked as she walked into our house.

"Yeah sure let's go" she smiled. She turned around and walked outside. She finally got her car fixed a little ago so we took hers.

We drove the short 10 minute ride to the cafe and I order a strawberry banana smoothie and she got a Frappucino. We sat in a both as they were being made.

"So how are you and Jake?"

"Good I guess. We haven't talked about getting back together or anything like that but he wants to be there for the baby and I'm obviously going to let him."

"Just make sure he won't hurt you or the baby"

"Why would he? How could anyone hurt their own child?" I said jokingly. She looked towards the ground and then they called our order. We got back in her car and we drove to the swimming hole in town. It's basically I big pond that has a waterfall and no animals or things of that sort. Everyone goes there during the summer, or that's what Kasey said.

We sat in her car with the windows down and the car turned off. "Kasey why did you look towards the ground when we were talking about Jake hurting the baby?"

"Because there was a bug" she laughed nervously.

"Oh wow nice lie" I smiled at her.

"It's no big deal Tay. Really" she smiled at me. I let it go and as we finished we started to drive back to my house.

"Guys there you are!" Jessie smiled as we walked in.

"What's going on?"

"Kason is okay. He is better than okay. Him and Jace are both done with the bone marrow transplants!" she screamed almost crying.

"No way!" Kasey smiled.

"How do you know?" I asked smiling.

"The doctor ran his blood and stuff the other day and called us today and told us that he doesn't need them anymore and maybe not ever again" she started crying. We ran towards her and hugged her.

"That's amazing Jessie. Where is the little bug anyway?"

"They went to the beach and ice cream with Jason and Jace to celebrate. I'm going to meet them there but I thought I would tell you guys in person rather than a note on the counter " she said wiping her tears and grabbing her keys. "And I'd really love to sit and chat but k have to go celebrate with them, I love you two and Kasey watch out for them" she smiled and winked at me. We laughed and went up to my room. I turned on Criminal Minds like any other time she's here.

After about three hours of Criminal Minds we went to get some food from the kitchen. When we walked down we saw Jake and Mason in the living room playing a video game. "Your an asshole" Mason said to Jake.

"What the hell are you talking about?" he said.

"Dude you left your phone in my room last night." he said and Jake visibily tensed.

"You went through my phone?" he snapped.

"No well not until your phone went up about a hundred times in 5 minutes from the same person talking about how she missed you and how she needs you and how she can't wait for you to get rid of "that slut and your sperm"" he said using air quotes. Kasey looked at me with sad eyes and I shook my head. I wasn't sad. I was pissed.

"So what? I'm talking to someone? I'm not with Taylor" he said.

"Okay but Jake, Taylor is carrying your child. Not your sperm. Your baby. Living, developing baby. "

"All I was the sperm donor. She is gonna do it by herself anyway. I didn't want the little shit and I don't want her. " he snapped.

"Well good cause we don't want you either" I said walking into the living room.

"God dammit Mason" he mumbled.

"Not blame your idiotcy on Mason. You're the asshole who doesn't realize how great Taylor is" Kasey snapped.

"Shut up bitch" he yelled at Kasey. Mason got up and punched him in the face. Jake got up and walked out of the house slamming the door.

"Are you okay?" Kasey asked me.

"Of course. I don't need Jake. I have you two. Jessie and Jason"

"And me" Nick said coming in the living room.

"When did you get here?" Kasey asked.

"About 2 minutes ago when Jake said that he didn't want Taylor or the little baby" he said. You could tell he was angry but holding it back because Kasey and I were here.

"Well I'm okay and if he doesn't want to be here for the baby then he doesn't have too"

Jake came home about two hours later. He seemed a little tipsy and we heard him stumble up the stairs. "Idiot" Mason mumbled. We laughed and continued watching The Conjuring. I've seen it a million times so I wasn't that scared but Kasey was flipping out, it was hilarious.

After awhile Kasey and Mason went into Masons room after strick instructions not to end up like me and they laughed.  Me and Nick were watching Grey's Anatomy on TV and we were laughing as Christina and Meredith were dancing on the patio with alcohol.

"I aspire to be like them" I laughed. 

"Well since your pregnant and underage you can't have alcohol sweetie" he laughed. 

"Underage my ass, your like a year older than me" I laughed. 

"But I can't get pregnant" he said sticking out his tongue. 

"Okay I give you that" I said. 

"So have you thought about the baby at all?"

"Well obviously" I laughed. 

"I meant like the gender and names and when you'll feel it and stuff"

"Well I did some research and you can't start to feel the baby around 15 weeks and you can't tell the gender till like 20 weeks and I'm only 7 weeks so I still have a ways to go but I've thought about it"

"What do you want it to be?"

"I don't know honestly.  I've always wanted a girl first but if I got a boy I'd be okay as long as it is healthy. "

"That's true"

"Yeah and I'm just kinda scared to think about names because it's the name they'll have for the rest of their life. Unless they change it"

"Don't worry I'm sure you'll figure that all out" he said rubbing my arm. 

"Thanks Nick.  No one has told me that it's all gonna be okay and meant it yet so I appreciate that"

"Anytime" he smirked.  He yawned and I decided it was time for me to go to bed.  I went upstairs feeling like everything will work out in the end and I've never been happier.
