Standing behind Brian his hands wrapped tightly around my wrist, he tightened his hold when I tried to pull out of his grasp. I heard a deep growl erupting from the guy on the floor; I could sense my wolf shivering in me.

Something about his growl was so exhilarating.

"Move." Yellow eyes ordered.

"No." Brian replied to him in a cold voice.

Yellow eyes moved closer until the two of them were face to face, they were almost the same height - but Brian was still a bit taller. "Move away from her." He growled again.

Brian met his gaze, but shook slightly, "Why should I listen to you?"

"I don't think you understand your position omega."

The tension in the air grew and I noticed that Brian was shaking in anger and something else - fear?

A crowd had started forming around us; everyone stood around, murmuring to themselves as they ogled at us. I looked down so they wouldn't see how red my face was from being the center of attention. This wasn't something I was used to, maybe Aishling, but not me.

"If you really wanted the Dr. Pepper you could have just asked, no need in trying to break a small girl's neck." Brian smirked - he was trying to play it cool, when in reality he looked as if he'd just seen a ghost.

I frowned, "He wasn't trying to br-"

"I wasn't trying to break her neck." Yellow eyes snapped.

"Sure."

"Can we please not do this right now Brian. There's too many people watching." I finally spoke up, my voice soft but steady. Yellow eye's head snapped over to me.

I could hear Yellow eyes groaning as if he just realized that we were being stared at by a mass of people.

"Go back to the party!" he ordered. Everyone quickly dispersed and moved away from us in a rush. Some people even looked terrified that they got yelled at.

"Can't we just go talk about this someplace else?"

Both guys growled, but they seemed to have noticed how embarrassed I looked. "Of course." Yellow eyes said. Brian just grunted, but released his hold on me.

Walking quickly I rubbed my wrist trying to get the feeling back into my hand; I barely took in my surrounding as I rushed away from everyone. I just wanted to get as far from the crowd as possible. What would Uncle Jake say if he saw that I wasn't looking after Aishling? I was supposed to be her shadow. Following after her and keeping any eye on everything that happened around her, nothing less and nothing more. Being away from Aishling was just the same as disrespecting a direct order from the Alpha. Would I be punished? Or would it be my father as it always was whenever I got in trouble in the past?

Gnawing at my lips I finally stopped once I noticed the shadows of the leaves flickering in the dim light. The light scent of dirt and wild grass wafted across my nose telling me that we were in the woods. The crunching of leaves behind told me that both guys had followed me.

"What were you thinking?" I growled at Brian spinning around in rage, "Punching people? Is that how you solve a problem?"

Holding his arms up he stared at me shocked, "But he was trying to hurt you!"

"I wasn't hurting her!" Yellow eyes stated.

"And you!" I snarled at Yellow eyes, he looked up at me surprised, "Why did you just come up and do that?"
