Though I don't know if you guys really read this, I would really appreciate some votes and comments about how I'm doing so far - minus the whole break I kinda had unannouced. So...guys...I'm just going to try this but if I get around 30 likes for this book, I'll do a early update, like maybe Monday or Sunday? But only if I get that ammount. If not than I'll just upload whenever I can.

Chapter 6

“Cora! St-” Brian yelled. I couldn’t hear the rest since the snarls coming from Danny were deafening.

My throat made a garbling sound as I tried to breathe. If he could, Danny would go for the kill right now.

I struggled from his hold trying to pull myself free, but it was futile.

My claws were out and I tried to yank his arm free, but it didn’t make a difference.

My claws sank into his skin like butter, but it seemed like he was completely oblivious of the pain. Black spots started to splotch my vision. I felt light headed to the point I thought I was floating.

Gasping, I feebly tried pulling free once more.

Desperate, my instincts kicked in as I tucked my legs in and managed to kick Danny in the stomach. It wasn’t as strong as I had hoped – I only managed to make him stumble back- but the kick managed to make Danny release his hold on me. Twisting my body, I swung my legs knocking Danny to the ground, but not without gaining a bruise on my calf.

I jerked back, my hand reached for my throat feeling how serious the wound was. It was still seeping blood, but the wound was already scabbing over and soon it would disappear.

“You could have killed me!” I gasped.

Danny shrugged just as he got back onto his feet. Not even giving me a second to regain my thoughts, he lunged forward. I dodged, missing his punch - barely. I pulled my arms up in a defensive pose, like those a boxer would do, and tried to deflect the waves of punches Danny was throwing at me. I managed to dodge a few, and block some.

The force of the punches was pushing me back, and it seemed I didn’t have the upper hand. My arms were turning sore- it didn’t seem I would last much longer.

My eyes flickered over to Carter.

He seemed to be enjoying himself, a wide grin plastered on his face as he stood a few ways off with his arms crossed. He seemed to be having fun watching me get beaten up. It made me angry. I growled.

Turning my attention back to Danny, I felt adrenaline rush through me, and almost as if the world was put on slow motion, I watched as Danny threw a punch to my left. Just as he did, I saw an opening on his left, taking my arm; I landed a clean punch to his jaw.

Just as quickly as I threw the punch I went back to a defensive pose. Again and again this happened – a few times I managed to stoop low and land one or two punched in his stomach.

My blows didn’t affect him much, but it managed to agitate him. His punches started to grow more and more aggressive and powerful.

Just as one deadly punch whizzed past my ear I grabbed his wrist and upper arm, twisting my body, I used the momentum of the punch to throw him over my shoulder and onto the ground. He left a deafening thud in the air. The clearing was filled with silence as all of Aishling’s friends stopped babbling with each other and gazed in shock at what I had done.
