Just added little stuff into it, nothing major
Chapter 5
Aishling POV
I paced around the training grounds with a growing sense of annoyance. Cora was supposed to get here at noon. It was 20 minutes passed and still no sign of her.
I had made sure she got the message when I had Brian go to her this morning. Both of them were taking their sweet little time, I grumbled.
"Calm down Aishling, maybe something happened." Kaylan, my "friend" spoke up from a small cluster of people hanging around a toppled tree.
Rolling my eyes, I twirled around and stared at her. Such an ugly thing. The only reason I had her near me and in my crowd was so that people would see how flawless I really looked. "You're right Kaylan." I smiled sweetly.
She grinned, winding her hand around my waist and pulling me to the others. She babbled along the way, "So I heard that Blue Moon pack has a pretty big pack, but it's not the most powerful. Shadow Bane pack held that title for years."
I shrugged, feeling the waves of my auburn hair swing against my back with each step I took, "How can the biggest pack not be the strongest? I'm sure the Blue Moon alpha -ah- I mean Elliot made that up so make him seem not that big of a person."
"Have you met him before, Alpha Elliot?" Emily, a younger girl with dark brown hair cut short, asked from her spot on the ground.
"Once, but it was a while ago. I've mostly just seen him at Summits." I answered her, fully looking down and feeling powerful. My pack mates looked up to me as if I was already a Luna. A leader. They weren't wrong.
Ever since I could remember I held an aura of power that drew everyone to me. Daddy said I was a natural born leader, and I knew he was right. No one could gather so many people in her hand and mold them the way I did. A natural leader. Elliot was lucky to have me as his Luna, to help him lead his pack and make it the strongest.
"How long until the wedding, O High and mighty one?" Carter joked. Carter was one of the few people who could actually tease me without having to feel intimidated. He was the son of our current Beta, so we had grown up together.
"A month and a half probably. I'm going to Blue Moon territory tomorrow." I said. I stuck my tongue out at him once I finished talking. Carter rolled his eyes and flicked me off quickly. The others laughed, I managed to chuckle slightly.
"She's here." My wolf's voice vibrated in my skull.
Turning my attention to the quivering of leaves on the other side, I felt annoyance bubble up in my stomach as Cora stepped out with her little man toy, Brandon? Brett? Ah, his name didn't even matter.
Cora stepped into the clearing with her head held high. Her gaze didn't even quiver when it locked onto mine. It pissed me off. Here I was a natural leader, who couldn't even get one of her lower ranking wolf to shake in fear. Her eyes, a vibrant blue, were clear and steady. I could tell her and her wolf weren't nervous at all.
I felt a light growl come from my throat. Carter stood up quickly and flanked my right while Kaylan moved to my left. The others behind me quickly stood up.
"You're late." I said coldly.
She shrugged as if it was no big deal having to make me wait. "We were eating brunch."
"I don't care, you're late."
"My bad. Sorry." She managed to mumble.
Was that attitude she was giving me? Couldn't she at least show she was sorry? Instead I get a blank slate.
