|Chapter 20-The Call|

Violet's POV

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing at 2:00pm. Dan and I were up all night playing games with Phil. I answered the phone.

"Hello? Who is this?" I asked, realizing it was an unknown number.

"Hi ,love it's Sarah." The familiar northern accent spoke through the phone.

"Oh hey, Sarah what's up?" I asked trying not to sound like I was tired.

"Well, nobody seemed right for the job accept you." She told me. I darted up.

"I got the job?" I asked my voice full of excitement.

"Yep! We'll have you start next Monday at 9:00am to 5:00." She informed.

"Oh my gosh, Thank you so much. I'll see you then!" I said.

"Yep. Bye, love." She said just before I hung up. I was still in my pajama pants and my Adventure Time graphic tee but I didn't care. I bolted out my flat and went to Dan and Phil's flat.

Dan's POV

Phil, Ellie and I were watching Death Note when we heard a loud knock at our door. Phil looked at me and narrowed his eye brows in confusion. I stood up and opened the door. Before I had time to process who it was I was tackled in a hug.

"What's this all about?" I asked my girlfriend as she released herself from me.

"I got the job!" She exclaimed.

"What?! That's amazing!" I told her as she got on her tippy toes to give me a quick peck on the lips.

"Congrats!" Phil said, standing up. Violet hugged him.

"Oh my goodness! That's great! When do you start?" Ellie asked, her arms open for her hug.

"I start on Monday." The extremely hyper Violet said over Ellie's shoulder.

"Oooh we should go out tonight!" Ellie said.

"Yeahhhh." Violet chimed in.

"As a celebration, of course." Ellie exclaimed.

"I'm up for that. What about you Phil?" I said, calmly.

"Sure."

"Yayyyy." Violet jumped up and down.

"Well how bout we go in a few hours." Ellie said.

"Yeah, we can stop at your house so we can get ready and then we'll go back to mine." Violet told her.

"Well we should hang here for a bit first." Ellie said.

"Obviously." Violet laughed.

"Rock band?" I offered to play as the two jumped up and down.

"Hell yeah." Ellie, Violet, and Phil all said in unison. I laughed as I grabbed our copy of Rock Band 4.

===(after the game is set up===

"I call drums!" Phil said.

"Violet I've never heard you sing. You should be a vocalist." I told Violet.

"Erm... Uh no, I don't want to, I'm not any good." She said, her cheeks becoming pink.

"Well, I call guitar." Ellie said, giving me a wink. We were evil. Violet gave her best friend the evil eye.

"I hate you." Violet said shoving Ellie.

"Love you too!" Ellie said, smiling innocently.

"Can I at least choose the song?" Violet asked, obviously irritated.
