Violet's POV
We were going to Berkshire one day from today. I was excited, although I don't know how Sarah will react while I'm not there. She bought a car last week. I'm pretty sure she regrets it but doesn't wanna admit I was right. It's whatever though. I was finally getting away from Sarah's breakdowns and the stress of working at the bakery. Plus, it was about time I got to meet Dan's family.

I grabbed my suitcase, Dan grabbed his. Sarah was gonna stay here while Dan and I were gone, so she was here at the early hour of 6:00am, saying goodbye.
"Have fun!" She called at us as Dan and I left the door. As usual, we were running late so we were in a rush for our taxi to get us to the train station. Luckily for us, we got there just in time for boarding. The train was rather nice. We got a table and two benches. There was supposed to be another couple in front of us but they never came, so we got the area to ourselves. However, I didn't think for a second to take advantage of that extra space. I still sat there, nuzzled up to Dan. No more headaches for a week, and as big of a headache Dan can be, there was nowhere I'd rather be than with him. It didn't take more than an and hour and ten minutes which was nice. Dan and I got off the train, well rested from the nap we took in each others arms, making up for the sleep we had lost due to getting up early. When we got off the train I didn't have to think twice about who was Dan's family. Standing about 50 feet in front of us was a woman, who looked to be in her early 40's. She had deep brown hair with bangs and Dan's same chocolate brown eyes. It was clear that she was his mother. Right beside her was a boy, who looked about 14 or 15, he looked like a mini version of Dan. He had same eyes, same nose, same mouth, same hair with the same fringe. It wasn't long before the boy was running up to Dan, and tackled him in a huge hug. Dan let out a playful laugh.
"Nice to see you too, Adrian." He remarked. Adrian laughed and backed off, giving Dan's mum some room. She gave him a hug too. Dan towered her.
"Hello baby." Her mom, reaching a hand to his cheek.
"Hey mum." Dan said.
"Love, it's been ages, what's new?" She asked him. I thought it was a bit abnormal Dan's mum, nor Adrian were acknowledging my existence.
"Well..." Dan started. "This," He put an arm around my body, gripping my my upper arm. "Is my girlfriend, Violet." He smiled. Both of the family members in front of me gave a surprised expression.
"Oh, so pretty!" Dan's mum said immediately. She pulled me into a hug.
"Nice to meet you." I said with a smile.
"Nice to meet you too love. It's a pleasure to have you staying with us." She said, backing away with a smile.
"Girlfriend?" Adrian remarked. "Dan can get a girl? Even as pretty as this one?" Adrian let out a laugh and Dan shoved him. I already loved Dan's family. This vacation was going to be perfect.
