Violet's POV

I woke up feeling a bit scared. I forgot that I had moved. Everything feels so different. Which I liked, but it would take some getting used to. I checked my phone. It was 10.  I got up and remembered I had no food. I looked out the window to see if there was a nearby store. No store, but I noticed that it was raining. I loved rainy weather. It's beautiful and calming. I opened the window. The trickle of the rain filled my ears. I decided that I'd ask Dan to help me get some food. It was so nice to have an already furnished flat so I filled my closet with clothes. Of course before doing so, I grabbed my portable speaker and phone and played my Panic! At the Disco playlist. After putting them away, I took some clothes out of my closet and chose an outfit. I wore some black leggings with my favorite Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time jumper I got from Hot Topic. That was definitely something I was going to miss about America. Anyways, with my music still blaring, I did my makeup.

Dan's POV

I  woke up to Panic! At the Disco's "Build God, Then We'll Talk" at like noon. blaring through my wall. She was a Panic fan too? Even better. I got up and ate some cereal and coffee. I took a shower and got dressed. I wore my Yeezus shirt and black jeans. I started straighten my hair and sure enough, Panic! at the Disco was still playing. I wanted so badly to knock at her door. I wanted to talk about her.. Learn more. I then heard a knock at my bathroom door as I was still straightening my hobbit hair.

"Yes?" I answered.

"The new neighbor is here to see you." Phil informed me. I felt myself get excited.

"Yeah gimme a sec. I need to finish straightening my hair." I told him

"Just talk to her till I'm done" I ordered my friend. He didn't say anything but I heard his footsteps move toward the lounge. I started straightening my hair much faster.

Violet's POV

I was welcomed into Dan's flat by his flatmate Phil. Phil invited me to sit.

"So..." He started "You're our new neighbor? How are you liking it?"  I shrugged.

" Well I've just moved in and I haven't got any food. So I wanted to go with Dan because he's the closest I have to a friend and he said to come to you guys if I needed" I told him.

"Oh. I'd take you but I have to do some work." He told me. I nodded in understanding. Dan finally came into the lounge through the hallway. I blushed at sight.

"Hey" He said with a shy wave.

"Hey what's up?" I said back.

"Not much... Nice jumper" He complemented with a blush. At this point, Phil had gotten up and went somewhere else.

"Thanks! I was wondering if you could go to a store with me. I've got no food and you're my only...Sorta friend." I asked and told him.

"Yeah I don't think I'm busy. " He told me

"Um, I wanted to change" I told him.

"Alright well I'll put my shoes on you go get change." He said to me.

"It may take a bit. I'll leave my flat unlocked you can come in and wait." I invited him.

I left Dan and Phil's flat and ran back to mine as quick as possible. I looked through my closet. Put on a white crop top that had the Panic! At the Disco's "Pretty Odd" cover on it and I left the black leggings on.

Dan's POV

After i put my shoes on I went to violet's house. She had an already furnished flat. I wish Phil and I could've gotten our flat furnished. That would've made our lives a hell of a lot easier. Anyways I didn't want to be a creep so I just kinda sat on her sofa. Finally she came out from her bedroom. She wore a pretty odd shirt. That's my second favorite Panic album. I stared at her. Her perfect body. She waved her hand in front of my face.

"Earth to Dan" She said with a laugh.

Violet's POV

Dan was staring at me. Was I really worth the stares of a guy like him? I don't know.

"You ready to go then?" I asked him, Picking up my small purse.

"Yeah" He said getting up.

"So how are we going to get there?" I asked him.

"There's not just taxis in America." He said smiling. I sat there looking like an idiot. We were walking down the stairs at this point.

"Lost for words?" He said. "I usually leave that effect on people." He said, smirking adorably. I looked up at him and smiled. I playfully elbowed him in the rib.

"So do you have a job?" I asked him.

"Yeah, me and Phil are youtubers actually." He informed me, sounding proud of himself.

"I've never heard of you. Are you considered popular?" I asked him. Then I realized the names "Dan and Phil rang a bell.

"I mean ye-" He started before I interrupted.

"Yeah I've heard of you and Phil a few times." I told him. Finally we reached the bottom of the stairs.

"Yeah.." He said awkwardly.

"So you like Panic?" He asked me.

"Oh my god yes. They're amazing." I said blushing mildly.

"Yeah you woke me up blaring it. But I don't mind because I first of all, I needed to get up, and second of all, I love panic." He said to me looking down into my eyes. His eyes were so bright and full of light.
After he said that I realized we could be best friends. We're nerdy and love panic. Well maybe I was a bit blowing this whole thing out of proportion. I was just getting excited. Finally, a taxi pulled up and took us to a Tesco nearby. I got enough food to last me about a week, I only had about four bags, Dan carried two, I carried two. Dan and I talked the whole time we were in there. About multiple things. He told me about being a YouTube, and I talked to him about my life back home. I could've talked to him for hours. He was honestly one of the funniest people I'd met in a while We were about to wait for a taxi.

"Hey, there's a Nando's right over there" Dan said pointing west. "Ya wanna grab some lunch."

"That sounds amazing. I'm starving." I told him. He smiled at me. God he was tall. I mean, I was a relatively tall person, I was like 6ft foot but him, he was at least two, three inches taller than me. We walked over to Nando's through the rain and ordered some food. I found out so much about him. After we finished eating we went back to my flat. We were walking in-

"I can help you put things away if you'd like." Dan offered.

"Honestly Howell, I could spend the rest of the day with you and not be bored, maybe we can hang out tomorrow. It's getting late." I told him. He nodded.

Dan's POV

I could've hung out with her all day too. She was such an amazing person. Violet was funny, sweet, very open to most music, and nerdy as hell. She was genuinely the perfect girl for him. She was about to close her flat door but,

"Hey, um. You want my mobile number?" I asked her.

Violet's POV

God he was so adorable when he asked that. His adorable shy smile. I giggled.

"Sure" I said in acceptance. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and put his number in my contacts.

"See ya, Howell." I said to him as I closed my flat door.

That night, we texted till 1:30am.
