I didn't wanna go home that night. I didn't wanna get up early in the morning and start my job. I wanted to be with Dan and that's all. But I do need to make money, not just blow off my savings. So of course I went.

I woke up, Monday morning. Ugh. I was staying alone in my flat. Usually I woke up next to Dan. It killed me. I think it's dangerous to be this completely and utterly in love with someone. I pulled myself out of bed and rummaged through my closet and drawers. Sarah told me I could wear whatever I liked which was lucky for me. The last thing I wanted was a uniform. Today, I wore a black and white spotted skirt, a black long sleeved crop top and some heeled combat boots. I was like "emo" tumblr today. (not including jewelry v v v)

I got a taxi there and arrived early at Pop Cakes at about 8:45am.
"Hey!" Sarah said smiling.
"You're like, 15 minutes early." She said.
"Yeah, I thought the ride would be a bit longer." I said.
"Well that's fine. I've got to show you around anyways, love." She said.
"First of all, I have an apron for you , and you and I are the only bakers so I was thinking we could do batman and robin?" She smiled holding out a red, green and yellow apron.
"This is totally adorable. " I said with a smile. I put it on and she showed me around. It only took till 9:10. So we opened. There were already batches ready for those not requesting.
"So how much service do we usually get?" I asked, while rolling some dough.
"A fair amount. Haven't been opened for 2 weeks cause of the old baker leaving." She said, as she did her job on a cake.
"Sweet." I said.
"Tell me, love. Have you got a boyfriend?" She asked.
"Yeah, actually. His name is Dan, you may know him off youtube." I said.
"Love, I probably do, but there are lots of Dan's on youtube. Is he popular?"
"If over five million subs counts." I chuckled.
"The Diamond Minecart? Dan from slow mo guys? Or, danisnotonfire?" She asked.
"Danisnotonfire." I said.
"Damn, you got lucky. He's hot, and hilarious, and just amazing." She said.
"Are you hitting on my boyfriend?" I asked, kidding.
"What if I was?" She asked, taunting. "Maybe I am." She smirked. I threw some flower at her.
"Did you just throw flour at me?" Being playfully offended.
"What if I was?" I shot her own comeback at her. She picked up a pumpkin pie from the pie table.
"Do you really wanna know?"
"No thanks." With that, we continued to talk as we made cupcakes, cakes, pies, and more. I loved this job and wasn't regretting coming.

"Hey when do I get my lunch break." I asked at quarter after noon.
"Now if you'd like, love." She said.
"Good, Dan kinda got hit by a car and is getting out of the hospital today. Wanna check in on him is all." I said. I haven't been very hungry lately. Most people stress eat but I'm the opposite. When I'm stressed I stop eating.
"Aww. Tell him I said get better." She smiled full of empathy.
I went into the dining area and sat at a table, sipping at a milkshake. I unlocked my phone and clicked on Dan's contact.
Ring....
Ring....
Ring....
Ring....
"Hello?" Dan's voice spoke into the phone.
"Hey!" I said, smiling to myself.
"Hey, how's your first day?" He asked.
"Great. I mean, Sarah is sooo cool. We're gonna have to have her over sometime." I exclaimed.
"Good, I told you you had to go."
"Yeah yeah, so are you out of the hospital?" I asked.
"Nope. They're releasing me in an hour. They're gonna do a check up in like 2 minutes so I better go." He said.
"Okay, text me when you're released, okay?"
"Alright. Love you."
"Love you too" I responded and hung up. I smiled to myself. After that, I went back to having a good day.

I was just finishing putting a cake in the oven when I heard the service desk bell ring. Dan hadn't texted me yet and it's been two hours since I talked to him. I hope the check up went okay.
"I got it." I yell to Sarah, who's decorating cupcakes across the kitchen from me. I quickly wiped my hands on my apron and ran out to the service desk. There stood Dan.
"Dan!" I yelled as I went around to hug him.
"You never texted me, I got worried." I pouted after backing away.
"And you didn't appreciate the surprise." This got me silent.
"Fine. You win."
"Hey Sarah! Come out here!" I called into the kitchen.
"One sec." She called back. Soon a clustered Sarah came out and her eyes widened.
"This is Dan, my boyfriend."
"Oh hi! He's even more pretty in real life. Er- I mean, nice to meet you. Sorry, I'm a big fan." She smiled awkwardly as she and Dan shook hands.
"It's fine, I know, I'm just that great." Him and Sarah talked a bit and then we got back to work for the remainder of the day. Dan stayed, and then left to go home with me.
