PINK BUBBLEGUM resided in Violet's mouth as she concentrated on the piece of parchment in front of her. She still had three days before her Herbology assignment was due, but she hated to procrastinate. Procrastinating to her was a crime, and she decided she did not want to commit that crime. Her eyebrows furrowed as she quickly wrote down a few more sentences to conclude her essay. "Need any help?" asked Remus as he took a seat next to her on the common room floor. Violet looked up from her parchment. "I'm nearly finished. I just need to do the Potions essay."

Remus smiled. "How about we work together on it?" he offered as he pulled out a blank piece of parchment. Violet rolled up her Herbology assignment before also pulling out another piece of parchment and beginning on it.

"What is Amortentia?" she asked herself out loud before scribbling her answer, making sure to go in detail about the love potion.

Remus looked up from his own parchment to answer her question. "Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in the world. It tends to smell different to each person, all according to what attracts them."

Violet smiled at him. "Guess I'll be smelling you when we work on Amortentia." she joked as she continued to write.

Remus stopped writing and placed his full attention on the girl next to him. "Well what do I smell like?" he asked nervously.

"Well you smell like books and chocolate." She answered, not once looking up or tearing her attention from her essay. Remus sat still staring at the girl. Did he really smell like books and chocolate? he asked himself. "Well you smell like strawberries and rose perfume." he told her, even thought she hadn't asked.

He could see a pink tint cover her cheeks as she put down the parchment and looked up, meeting his gaze. "Will you be smelling strawberries and rose perfume in the Amortentia potion?" she asked, curiously. Remus grinned at her. "That's exactly what I'll be smelling."

To be told, the Gryffindors had Potions the next morning. Remus had been paired up with Violet because Professor Slughorn wanted two of his four best students to work together in order to be able to complete the potion successfully. His other two best students included Violet's sister, Lily and the Slytherin Severus Snape.

Violet brightly smiled at him as she gathered the ingredients for the potion. Remus took the Ashwinder eggs whilst Violet grabbed ahold of the rose thorns.

"Ow." Remus heard Violet mumble as she accidentally pricked her finger with a rose thorn. "Are you okay?" he asked as he gently took her finger and examined it.

"I'm fine Remus." she told him as she placed her attention on the potion, and begin to do her part. Remus stood back and admired her, watching as she was carefully following the instructions, making sure not to mess up. "Are you going to stare at me all day, or are you going to help?" she asked, a soft laugh escaping her lips.

Remus cheeks turned red as he felt embarrassed. She had caught me staring at her.. he thought as he quickly went to aid her, helping her when he could. With the occasional scolding and laughing going on between the two, they had managed to finish the potion successfully.

Slughorn quickly made his way towards the pair, his eyes lighting up as he saw the potion turn a gold colour. "Well done Ms. Evans and Mr. Lupin!" He praised them as the rest of the class turned their attention to the Gryffindors.

"Now," began Slughorn as he turned his full attention to them. "Can you tell us what you smell?" Violet looked at Remus and nodded. The redhead stepped up cautiously, leaning in to smell the potion.

A red tint came across her cheeks as she pulled away. "I smell old books, the woody scent of a broomstick, chocolate and bubblegum." she quickly rushed as she allowed Remus to take her place. He leaned in and took in the scent. "I smell chocolate, strawberries and rose perfume." He spoke, allowing the class to sink in his words.

James and Sirius smirked at the two, well aware of their attraction to one another. Slughorn nodded happily as he let them be and went off to go check on the other students. Remus turned to look at Violet, a smile present on his lips. "I told you I was going to smell your scent." he told her as she giggled. "Guess you did."

His grin did not go away as he went off and assisted people with their potions, making sure they were doing them correctly. He approached his friends who stared smugly at him. "So are you and Evans a thing now?" Sirius asked excitedly, sounding like a girl who wanted to hear gossip.

Remus shook his head and frowned. "You know I can't date her. I'm a monster. My condition makes it hard, and I'll just end up hurting her." He knew he had to get rid of his feelings for Violet, but he always found himself falling for her even more than the day before.

James and Sirius glared at him. "You're not a monster Remus. You get excited over a Pygmy Puff and you fold your socks for gods sake, excuse me if I'm not trembling at the sight of you." James explained as he allowed his friend to sink in every word he said. "But still," Remus tried to reason, but the glare his friends were giving him forced him to close his mouth.

The clock tower chimed, indicating that it was time for their next lesson. All the Slytherins and Gryffindors in the room gathered their items, quickly exiting the class. Violet made her way towards The Marauders, smiling. "I had fun working together Remus." she told him.

Remus nodded, grinning. "So did I. Felt good not having to work with someone who doesn't know what they're doing." He told her. She laughed as she leaned up and kissed his cheek, rushing out of the classroom before he could process what happened.

Sirius laughed at Remus expression and turned to look at James. "Watch and learn Prongs. Thats how you get an Evans."
