THE NEXT TIME, the marauders approached Violet was on the crisp morning of October 1st, three days after their encounter in the library. They found the redhead in the Great Hall, eating a bowl of oatmeal and making last minute revisions to an essay. The marauders made there way towards the girl, trying to be quiet about it. "Are you all here to bother me again?" she asked, not once looking up from her essay. The boys stared bewildered at each other.

"How did you know we were coming without you looking up?" asked Sirius as he took the empty seat next to her, the rest following his actions. "I can sense your uproar from miles away." Violet replied as she finally looked up from her essay, her emerald eyes scanning the boys. "You sound like multiple fans protesting The Beatles concert." She noticed the look of confusion on all the boys faces except Remus who seemed to understand since he cracked a smile.

"Forget about it." she told them as she poured more pumpkin juice into her goblet. The Great Hall doors opened and in stepped Lily with the rest of the girls that resided in Violet's dorm. She found her best friend talking to Marlene, but bid her a goodbye when she saw Violet.

Her sister and best friend, Alice Fortescue smiled widely at her, but their smiles faded when they saw who she was sitting with. Lily shook her head at her sister before making her way towards the end of the table, far from the Marauders.

Alice smiled again as she made her way towards Violet, pushing Sirius out of the seat, and sitting next to her best friend. "You ditched me Vi!" Alice voiced as she filled up her plate with whatever seemed to appetite her.

Violet smiled sheepishly. "Sorry, I was hungry and needed to revise my essay for Flitwick." Alice nodded understandably as she shoved a piece of toast into her mouth. "What are you all doing here?" Alice asked, turning her attention towards the boys sitting near her.

"We came to talk to Evans, not you Fortescue." James replied as he put bacon into his mouth. Alice rolled her eyes as she flicked a piece of toast at James. "Well if you must know, Vi is my best friend so whatever you tell her, she tells me."

The boys ignored her, and turned their attention back onto the redhead. "So will you help me?" asked James, hope clear in his voice. Violet sighed, but gave in. "Fine. I will Potter." The marauders cheered knowing that they had her help and that she would not let them down.

The clock tower chimed, letting them know it was time for classes. Violet quickly gathered her things as she and Alice made their way towards Transfiguration, the marauders following behind. James and Sirius quickly passed Violet and Alice, taking the only desk that had two empty seats available. Alice smiled as she saw Frank, giving her best friend a nod before joining her boyfriend.

Violet mentally groaned as she that there was only a seat available next to Snape and Remus. She made a quick decision before joining Remus, offering him a small smile and taking the empty seat. Professor McGonagall entered the classroom and she began the lesson.

Throughout the lesson, Violet couldn't help but notice how Remus nose scrunched up as he quickly wrote down notes, processing every word that McGonagall spoke. She smiled at how he would run his hands through his hair, biting his lip as he tried to concentrate.

Remus couldn't help but notice the stare Violet was giving him, it made him feel satisfied and nervous at the same time. Was she staring at him because she fancied him? Or was it because of his scars?

She's staring at my scars...I guess she thinks they make me look unattractive Remus thought as he felt self conscious, not liking the feeling of having such a beautiful girl stare at him when he knows he can't offer her anything she deserves.

How can this boy be so beautiful? Violet thought as she studied his face. He was perfect in anyway possible. He had a chiseled face that had a few scars, and she didn't think those scars made him any less good-looking, in fact, she thought it made up who Remus was. A mysterious teenage boy who had havoc going on in his mind.

"Is there something on my face?" Remus finally asked, turning to look at the green eyed girl. She blushed as she shook her head. "Sorry. I was just admiring you." she admitted.

"You were admiring me?" Remus asked, shock clear in his voice. "What is there to admire about me?"

Violet smiled. "Well I was looking at your scars." she confessed. Remus frowned. "You must think they ruin my face and make me look unattractive huh?" Violet shook her head. "Oh, no, not at all. I think they still make you attractive. I also think they define you and they represent that you're a warrior who doesn't give up."

Remus couldn't help but smile widely at her answer. "Well if you must know, I think you're attractive too." Her grin didn't go unnoticed by him as she picked up her quill and began writing as McGonagall walked passed them. She stopped writing as soon as the Professor walked by and put her quill down.

She leaned in and winked at him. "Now that we both admitted to finding each other attractive, how about we go snog in a broom closet?"
