[13.] bubblegum pack ♡

IT WAS OFFICIALLY two weeks before the Christmas holidays and Violet had went overboard when it came to the entire holiday. She had managed to knit sweaters for all her friends, and she had hung up decorations to spread the Christmas vibe throughout the Gryffindor common room. Her sister joined in at times, but she knew when to stop, unlike Violet. Yet, no one dared to say anything for they did not want to experience the wrath of Violet Evans. 

"Don't you think you're doing a little bit too much, love?" Remus asked her when she saw her knitting in the common room. Violet looked up and her eyes widened before she was quick to hide what she was knitting. "You can never do too much on Christmas Rem, plus get out of here, I'm trying to do something here."

Remus raised an eyebrow. "What are you knitting?" Violet shook her head. "That is none of your concern." It was in fact none of Remus concern for Violet was currently knitting a sweater for his other side. It sounded stupid to be knitting a sweater for a werewolf, especially when she was calculating her measurements using a bloody book, but she wanted to do something special and she really hoped the werewolf wouldn't completely destroy the sweater this full moon. 

"It's none of my concern huh? Well I guess this bubblegum isn't your concern either." He held up a pack of bubblegum but quickly put it back into his pocket when Violet reached out to grab it. "Remus," she whined. "You can't do that. You know how much I love bubblegum." 

"More than you love me?" he asked her, tempted to pull the pack of gum out again. "Pft, obviously Rem. Bubblegum has been my first love since I could officially chew something." Violet stated in a 'duh' tone. 

Remus pouted. "Well I guess I won't be giving you the bubblegum pack since you say you love it more than me." Violet stood up quickly and she threw her arms around him. "No, give me the pack of gum Remus. You know I've ran out of it and I need some more." she batted her eyelashes at him, and she knew he couldn't resist. 

He groaned. "Don't do that. You know I won't be able to resist when you do that." Violet laughed. "I know, why do you think I do it?" Remus chuckled as he wrapped an arm around her, causing her to lay her head on his chest as they stood their, embrace one another. 

"You're really amazing, you know that Rem?" she asked him as she looked up at him, her green eyes meeting his brown ones. "Don't try and compliment me in order  to get bubblegum Lettie." He told her, smiling. If someone had told him he would soon be holding Violet Evans in his arms two years after his fourth year, he would've probably laughed and hexed him for bringing his hopes up. But yet, here she was, the strawberry blonde with beautiful emerald eyes being held by no other than Remus Lupin. 

"Can you just give a piece of gum then Remus? Please?" she pleaded, her hand moving up to touch his cheek. Remus shivered under her touch but shook his head. "Not going to happen, love." Violet pouted and Remus wanted nothing more than to kiss her soft pink lips. As if she read his mind, she pulled away from him. "Alright, then I guess you can't kiss me anymore." Violet told her boyfriend.  

Remus shook his head and groaned. "No, you can't torture me like that. You know how much I love to kiss you." Violet smirked. "Well that's too bad. Should've thought about that before you refused to give me bubblegum. Besides, we're even now." 

She turned around and gathered her items, before looking at Remus. "I'm going to leave so I won't be so tempted to kiss you." Remus grabbed ahold of her arm before he spun her around and brought her close to him again. Violet smiled before she stood on her tippy toes, and brought her lips near the corner of his mouth. "You know what Remus?" she murmured. 

Remus sighed as he held her, feeling a small kiss being placed near his mouth. "What?" Violet pulled away quickly and grinned. "I guess you're just the unlucky one." she stated as she held up the pack of bubblegum. Remus gaped at her. "That's not fair! You cheated, love." he complained. "It's not called cheating, babe. It's called being cunning." 

"You should've been in Slytherin then." he murmured. Violet pouted as she approached her boyfriend once again. "But that means you would rarely see me." she wrapped her arms around his neck. "And we wouldn't be able to spend time together or even snog." Violet told him as Remus placed her on the edge of a chair. 

"Good thing you're a Gryffindor then. Wouldn't be able to live with the fact that I would not be able to kiss my girlfriend." he kissed her forehead as Violet sighed happily. She couldn't remember when was the last time she was truly happy, but being with Remus just made her feeling excited. 

Violet looked at him before smiling. "Now that I have my bubblegum, aren't you forgetting something?" Remus grinned. "Well if you insist love. I won't mind kissing my girlfriend now." Violet smiled widely as Remus connected their lips together, bringing them both into another world as they began to snog endlessly, without a care in the world. If only they knew what was coming their way.
