VIOLET LAUGHED as she pulled Remus out of Hogsmeade. "Where are you two going?" shouted Sirius, as he walked out of the Three Broomsticks just in time to see Violet and Remus stalking off. "To the castle!" yelled Violet as she turned towards Remus. "I'll race you Lupin." Remus grinned at her. "You're on Evans." They both sprinted towards the castle, Remus slowing down in order to let Violet win.
"Come on Remus, you're so slow!" she shouted as she ran up towards the hill, waiting for Remus to catch up. "I'm coming love, I'm just taking my time." he chuckled as he finally reached the excited redhead. "I won. Now you have to catch me!" she grinned at him as she raced down towards the Black Lake. Remus chased after her, chuckling as he heard her laugh. He ran towards her, scooping her up and throwing her over his shoulder. She squealed in delight as he sat her down next to the tree.
Remus took a seat next to her as they both watched the Black Lake in a peaceful silence. "It's almost December." she commented as she played with the dead grass beneath her. "That means we all have an excuse to wear oversized sweaters." Remus smiled widely as he played with the sleeves of his sweater.
"It also means that the holidays are approaching, meaning the Christmas is going to be here soon." Violet spoke as she moved closer towards Remus, laying her head on his shoulder. She felt him tense but he quickly got used to the sudden contact coming from the beauty beside him. "Does that mean you'll be wearing ugly Christmas sweaters?" he asked, bravely wrapping an arm around her waist, pulling her closer towards him.
Violet removed her head from his shoulder and instead brought herself even closer. "You know me so well Rem." she teased as her green eyes met his brown ones. "Well if you wear your sweaters, I see no harm in wearing mine." he said softly, his eyes never leaving hers. "Does this mean I can have one of your sweaters?" the redhead asked. "Only if I can have one of yours."
The pair laughed. "I doubt you'll fit into any of my sweaters Lupin." Remus gasped. "Are you calling me fat Evans?" he asked, his tone sounding humorous. "Not at all. My sweaters are just too small to fit your tall figure." Violet admitted a she laid her head on his chest, gazing out towards the lake.
"Are you forgetting that I'm a wizard Vi? I'll just use a charm on it." Remus stated simply as he placed his chin on the top of her head. "And are you forgetting that I'm capable of jinxing it too?" Violet asked as she sighed happily and slipped her hand into Remus', intertwining their fingers. He chuckled. "Oh, I know what you're capable of love."
They sat closely together, enjoying each others warmth. "Maybe we should go inside now Vi." Remus said as the wind got colder. "But I don't want to move Rem." She admitted as she cuddled into him, not wanting to let go. Remus looked down at her, a smile on his lips. He didn't want her to let go. He enjoyed having Violet against him. He loved how she clung onto him as if she needed him to survive. Just the thought of thinking that Violet needed him made him feel warm and loved.
He snapped out of his thoughts and turned his attention back towards the beautiful girl cuddling into him. As much as Remus hated it, he knew they had to go back into the castle before either of them got sick. "Come on Vi, we have to get back to the castle before you get sick. In fact, the rest should be arriving by now." He reminded her.
Violet ignored him as she continued to clung onto him for warmth. "I don't care. I don't want to move." Remus sighed and he knew he wasn't going to win this argument with the stubborn girl. "Please Vi? It's getting colder and I don't want either one of us to get sick." Violet groaned and rolled her eyes before pulling away from Remus. She frowned at the sudden lack of warmth and she knew that he felt it too.
Remus held out his hand and Violet graciously took it. He helped her up, pulling her towards him. "We shouldn't have moved." he whispered into Violet's hair as he took his turn and clung onto her for warmth. "Says the one who forced me to get up." Violet murmured as she allowed Remus to embrace her. Remus pulled away slightly to look at her. "You should know to never listen to me Vi."
She smiled as she turned to look towards the castle. "We should head into the castle now. I think everyone's back now." Remus shook his head as he pulled Violet closer to him. "No. Not now. You're warm." he admitted, loving the feeling of the angel in his arms. Violet only shook her head and laughed. "Let's go inside Remus, the Gryffindor common room is warm."
"The common room cannot warm me up like you can." he spoke, bringing his lips towards her face. "You know that the common room can provide you with more warmth than I can." Violet laughed as Remus placed a kiss on her temple. "It really can't." he argued, not removing his lips from her temple.
Violet raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? and what can I provide you that the common room can't?" Remus pulled away and his eyes bore into hers. "Are you really asking me that Vi?" She nodded. "Of course I am. I'm intrigued to know."
"How about I just show you?" Remus asked, any shyness left of him, melting away. "And how are you going to do that?" the redhead looked at him curiously. "Well first, how about I pay you back what I owe you?" Violet's eyes widened. "Wait what?"
Remus just grinned at her. "Who needs a broom closet and a common room when I have everything I need right in front of me?" Before Violet could reply, Remus brought his hands up to her face and connected his lips with hers.
