THE NEWS OF Remus asking Dorcas to Hogsmeade spread across the school like wildfire, resulting in pitiful looks being sent Violet's way. Of course Violet ignored the looks and held her head up high, not looking the least bit bothered. Some Hufflepuff girls had also confronted Remus, telling him off for asking Dorcas instead of the pretty redhead.

The morning of December 2nd, the Great Hall was noisy, students chatting excitedly. The Marauders, excluding Peter who was still sleeping, sat in their own little group, talking about new ideas for pranks and the Hogsmeade trip that would take place two days from now.

"I still can't believe you're going to Hogsmeade with the dork." Sirius stated as he played around with his pancakes.

"Don't call her that. And it's not like I can just cancel on her. That'll be rude on my part." Remus scowled him as he took a sip of his pumpkin juice.

"Of course you can cancel on her," spoke James. "All you have to do is go up to her and call off the whole 'date' thing. It would only be rude if you were the one who asked her. But you didn't, right?"

"Do you think Moony would ask her when he's smitten with Violet?" Sirius turned his attention to James for a brief second before turning back to Remus. "Oh and I heard from McKinnon that Violet currently didn't have a date, but Gideon Prewett was planning on asking her."

"Gideon Prewett? Why him?" Remus sipped more of his pumpkin juice as he waited for Sirius to continue.

"According to McKinnon, the bloke always thought Violet was pretty attractive, and when he heard about the situation, he planned to ask her."

"Merlin Padfoot, you're so up to date with gossip, I'm starting to wonder if you're a bloody girl." James laughed. Sirius gasped. "Oh, Prongs! How did you know?" James grinned before Sirius quickly changed the topic back to Violet and Gideon.

"I have to admit though, Gideon is a pretty good looking bloke, not as handsome as me, but still. Oh, you're a good-looking bloke too Remus, don't get offended. If Gideon does ask Violet, he's practically sealing her future. Imagine this, Gideon asks Violet to Hogsmeade, causing her to fall in love with him. Once we all graduate Hogwarts, he'll propose and they'll get married in the summer. For their honeymoon, he'll take her somewhere romantic where they will end up making their first child and by next year, they'll have their bundle of joy and another on the way."

James laughed loudly as he saw Remus horror stricken face and he agreed with Sirius. "Either you go cancel that date with Dorcas and ask Violet before Gideon does, or you'll just have to deal with him sweeping Vi off of her feet."

Sirius nodded. "You should listen to us Moony. I just planned out Violet's future, and that could be you instead of Gideon. All you have to do is call of the 'date' with Dorcas. Plain and simple. Violet's future is practically in your hands."

At that moment, Violet stepped into the Great Hall, laughing and her heels clicking as she walked, the Prewett twins following behind. "I'm telling you Violet, Gideon had no idea what he was doing!" snickered Fabian as Gideon turned red. Violet laughed again as she turned to look at the twins. "I can't believe you allowed Charlie to nearly set fire to the Burrow! Molly would've killed you!"

Fabian threw an arm around his twin brother. "That's my brother for you." Violet shook her head and smiled. "You two are really something." The trio made their way over to Violet's friends who were sitting near the marauders.

"What did I tell you, Moony? It's happening if you don't act fast." spoke Sirius as he watched the interaction between the Prewett twins and Violet.

A panicked look crossed Remus' face. "What do I do? How do I tell Dorcas?" James sighed as he looked at Sirius who nodded.

Both boys stood up. "Attention all! Remus Lupin does not want to attend Hogsmeade with Dorky Meadowes! He never did ask her like she said, she asked him but he never told her he wanted to go with her. Remus here, wants to attend Hogsmeade with Violet Evans, but he's a little shit who does not know how to ask her." Sirius' voice boomed as the entire Great Hall turned their attention to the boys.

"So in other words, Remus refuses to go to Hogsmeade with you, Dorcas." James grinned as he watched the girl's face turn red of embarrassment.

This time, Remus stood up and walked over to Violet as he conjured a rose. "Now, I was wondering if you would be my date to Hogsmeade?" he asked hopefully.

Violet watched him in amusement and she couldn't help but start laughing. Remus frowned and he scratched the back of his neck. "You don't have to go with me if you don't want to. I understand i-"

Violet threw her arms around Remus. "You're such a cutie. Of course I'll go with you." Remus smiled as Violet buried her face into the crook of his neck as a big amount of students cheered and awed.

"I'll be the godfather of their children." Sirius grinned as he watched one of his best friends embrace one of the Evans' twins. "You'll be the godfather of one of their children. I'll be the godfather of the others to follow. We all know they're going to have more than one."

"What are you two gits talking about?" Alice asked as she turned her attention to them. "Oh, just trying to figure out who's going to be the godfather to their children." Sirius pointed towards Remus and Violet.

"You mean godmother right? We all know that I'll be the godmother of their kids." she argued. James shook his head. "That's where you're wrong Fortescue. We already called that role. Remus told us we could be the godfathers."

Alice snorted. "Remus told you that? Well guess what? Violet's the one who's going to go through the immense amount of pain while giving birth. I'm pretty sure Remus will allow her to name the godparent of their child. If not, she'll just threatened him." she shrugged as if it was nothing.

Sirius sighed as Marlene and Lily joined into the conversation. "How about you be the godmother to one of their kids, and you two be the godfathers to their other." suggested Marlene.

The boys looked at Alice who nodded. "So they have to have three kids in order for us to all be godparents."

Lily shook her head. "Merlin no! I have to be the godmother to Violet's child. It's only fair since she'll the godmother to mine."

"You mean our child, Lilyflower."

"No, I mean my child, Potter. There's no way you'll be my kid's father."

"We'll see about that Evans."

Shut up Potter."
