chapter 24

Cara's pov

I have been in New york for more than a week and Lily and I still haven't met. I know she thinks she is the reason Luke broke up with me but she is totally wrong. So today finally I'm meeting her. I missed her a lot. I was waiting for her at a restaurant. It's been 15 minutes and I'm just drinking water and staring at my phone. I was looking at the gate every now and then hoping she would come soon. Finally I saw a girl coming towards me wearing sunglasses. Who is she? As she reached my table she removed her glasses.

"Lily? Omg. You have short hair and you have blonde hair. I mean short and blonde. I mean... woahhh... you look so different. It's getting hot in here" I said to her laughing.

"Yeah for once I'm looking sexier than you" she replied sassily.

"You always look sexy my dear" I replied. She gave me a small smile. Then we ordered our lunch and waited for our food.

"So what's up?" I started the conversation.

"Cara I'm sorry." Lily murmered looking down at her fingers.

"Shut up Lily. It's not your fault. You didn't tell him to break up with me. It just shows how much he trusted me and that it 0%. So please stop apologising" I said to her. She looked at me and didn't say anything.

"So tell me what's going on? Beside work what have you done in New York so far? Any new guy?" I asked her.

"Umm yeah I went on a date with Liam " she said blushing.

"WHAT? Liam Payne?" I asked her. I was totally shocked. I mean this girl fangirls over him and she went on a date with him. Wow that's unbelievable.

"Yeah" she smiled.

"Holy moly. Well done sister" I shouted. I couldn't hide my excitement. That guy is great I know. I didnt realise but everybody in the restaurant was staring me but as if I care. Duh..

"Did you both kiss? Was it romantic? Does Ashton know? Are you dating? How did he propose?" I started questioning her. She just laughed.

"One by one Cara.. haha... no we didn't kissed. It was little romantic after all it was a date. Yes Ashton knows. He is the one who actually said that I should go with him. And no we are not dating. But he is a great guy. I think I'll stick to just friendship" she answered me. Damn. I was hoping they were dating. But i know she still have feelings for Michael so she won't date any other guy.

"Let's click a picture" I said changing the topic. We clicked a selfie quickly.

"So how's work going?" I asked her.

"Shitty as always but I might quit it this week" she replied me.

"What? Why?" I was totally confused.

"Liam asked me to help write some songs with him and you know I have always loved writing songs so I might join one direction team" she said and at the same time our food came.

"What? That's so awesome" I said. I'm so happy for her. She is finally leaving the job she doesn't like and doing what she loves if not being in a band.

I haven't been on twitter lately so I decided to post our selfie. At least fans should know that we still hangout.

Then we continued eating our lunch and talked about random things.

Luke' pov

We are in Japan where our tour will start. I'm so excited but somewhere deep inside my heart I'm feeling sad because I'm missing Cara. Maybe she has moved on I don't know. Whenever I see Calum and Maddie together cuddling or being romantic, it just reminds me of Cara. And yeah she has changed her number so I couldn't contact her anymore. Maddie said she has told her not to give her number to me which I completely understand. I know I don't deserve her. I should have trusted her more. Ohh god I'm such an idiot. Michael doesn't talk about Lily anymore maybe he is tired of everything and Ashton is Ashton. Always smooth. He broke up with Hannah but is still in touch with her. So basically they are together without even dating. I don't know if that made any sense or not. Currently we are on stage going through sound check.

"So what's the order of the songs?" Calum asked not even looking at us. He was smiling at Maddie who was sitting in front on with our management team.

"I have already told you three times" Ashton said who was sitting behind his drums.

"Well would you mind telling me fourth time?" Calum asked turning to Ashton.

"Broken home, she's kinda hot, end up here, vodoo doll, permanent vacation, castaway and what was the last one?" Ashton asked.

"Disconnected" Michael answered him.

"Wait.. disconnected? What about jet black heart. I guess that was on our list" I said and I was very confused.

"Guys... are you sure you are a professional band. You don't even know your fucking setlist" Jenna, one of the member from our management shouted.

"Yes we got this Jenna" Calum shouted back.

"Lucas deal with it and let's just get started" Ashton said from the back.

*after sound check*

Everybody was in the dressing room gathering their stuff as we were going back to the hotel. I went out looking for the bathroom. I was searching and searching when I heard someone talking inside a room. I peeked inside and saw Maddie talking to someone on phone.

"Yeah... yeah.. everything is fine.. yes.. I miss you but I'm stuck here. This is my job. What? I know...Calum is in the other room. Yes.. Luke is fine." She said and paused. Maybe the other person is speaking now. Who is she talking to and why did she mentioned me.

"I don't know Cara. I mean obviously he misses you but don't worry I'll make sure he is fine. Don't cry sweety. Everything happens for a reason" Maddie said. OMG..it's Cara and she still cares about me. At least that's what i can figure out by their conversation. Now I can see that there's still a chance for us to get back together. I'll soon convince Maddie to give me cara's number so that I can contact her. I heard Maddie say goodbye to her so I quickly retraced my steps and went back to the room before she catches me.

A/N- short chapter... and I know I know the editing sucks but hey I'm trying.. I'm gonna ask random ques from now..
Q- so do you guys think Luke can get back Cara ??
