Calum's pov

It's my birthday today and I have strictly told everyone not to do anything special for me. I don't want anything else besides Maddie. How can I even celebrate my birthday without her. Its 4am and i cant sleep. We all stay at the hospital one by one and today luke volunteered to stay there since cara has gone to california and he basically had nothing much to do. Im thankful that i have friends like them who thinks about me before themselves. I don't think I can repay them ever.

I wasn't feeling good and I couldn't even sleep so I decided to freshen up and leave the hotel. I wanted to be alone for some time. So I went to the washroom to take shower. After 20 minutes i was done. In order to not get mobbed I disguised myself by wearing a beanie and sunglasses so that people won't identify me. When I was ready I decided to leave a text to Ashton so that they won't get worried. I opened my phone and there were already some messages from my family and friends. I quickly replied to each and everyone and then messaged Ashton.

'Hey ash..i wanna be alone for sometime. Don't worry. Will be back soon.. :)'

I pressed the send button and then made my way to the elevator. I called a cab and decided to explore new places and hopefully no one will recognise me.

Nobody's pov

"Where the hell is he?" Michael shouted checking calum's room.

"What? He is not in his room?" Lily asked.

"He is there but I'm shouting because I'm feeling fabulous" Michael replied sarcastically.

"Fuck you" Lily said and fliped him.

"I will never understand your relationship and to be honest I don't even want to" Hannah commented.

"Umm guys... ?" Ashton came interrupting them.

"What is it?" Hannah asked when she noticed he was little worried.

"Calum texted me saying he wants to be alone for sometime so he has gone out" Ashton informed them.

"What? But what about the cake? I didn't even wished him. What the fuck I have to text him now saying happy birthday with a smiley" Michael said rolling his eyes. Lily started laughing.

"You stupid ass.. he will be back in no time then you can hug him and wish him and do whatever you do like bro hug or chest bump" Lily said laughing.

"Ohh really?" Michael asked and started tickling her.

"No no Michael please stop" Lily said laughing.

"I'm a stupid ass?" Michael asked again and started tickling her even more.

"Ahh... ohh..okay.. I'm s..sorry" Lily said trying to get out of michael's grip but he was too strong.

"I forgive you" michael replied and kissed Lily passionately. They were busy kissing moving their lips in sync when they heard Ashton coughing.

"Once you both are done just give me call.. we can then plan what we have to do today" Ashton said sarcastically.

"Umm.. sorry dude" Michael replied and gave a small kiss on lily's cheek.

"So should we call Calum now and ask him to come or should we go to hospital and then call him?" Hannah asked.

"He wants to spend some time alone so I think we should call him once we reach hospital. What you guys say?" Lily suggested but then ashton's phone started ringing interrupting their discussion. He looked at the caller id.

"It's luke" he said and picked it up.

"Hey luke... yeah.. yeah.. WHAT? Are you serious mate? I can't believe this.. yes we'll be there in half an hour.. bye" he said and ended the call.

"What is it? Is everything fine?" Hannah asked being worried.

"Maddie is back. We need to go as soon as possible. She is awake. I can't freaking believe this. Let's hurry up." Ashton spoke excitedly. The girls gasped.

"Ohh my god" Hannah squealed and a tears came out her eyes.

Lily rushed to her room getting ready without wasting any minute.

"Holy fuck balls" Michael murmered and followed Lily. Ashton immediately called Calum but it went straight to his voicemail. He called 2-3 times more but it again went to his voicemail. Ashton groaned in frustation and went to his room to get ready.

After 45 minutes they all reached the hospital and Lily and Hannah literally ran to the second floor to maddie's room closely followed by the boys. They didn't even bothered to take the lift. They burst through the door and saw luke sitting beside Maddie and Maddie was skyping Cara.

"Maddieeeeee......." Lily shouted and rushed to her. They both hugged and Lily didn't let go of her for few seconds.

"It's my turn now" Hannah said making a puppy face. Lily broke the hug and Hannah hugged her next.

"I missed you so much Maddie.." she whispered in her ears and as usual being the emotional one started crying but it was happy tears this time.

"I missed you all too" Maddie said. She was still weak and was looking thinner. Then Ashton hugged her and then Michael. Soon they saw cara's face on the laptop. She was smiling widely.

"Cara babe how is the shoot going?" Lily asked her.

"It's amazing. I'm so happy right now that Maddie is back. I can't wait to come back" she replied. " i have to go. Enjoy you guys and I have texted Calum but he hasn't replied. Anyways bye and Maddie take care" she said and disconnected.

Maddie was looking at the door continuously.

"He missed you a lot maddie" Ashton said.

"Hmm...I know ash... where is he? Why didn't he come to meet me?" She asked.

"He wanted to be alone today. I have tried calling him but he isn't replying" Ashton told her. Maddie's face dropped.

"Do you know what date is it today?" Hannah asked her. Maddie nodded.

"I know. It's Calum birthday today, luke told me everything and basically I was dead for like 4 months" Maddie spoke looking down at her fingers.

"Hey don't say that.. it wasn't your fault" Lily said to her. Everybody was quite for a minute.

"I have a plan for calum's birthday" Michael said breaking the silence. Everybody looked at him. He smirked.

"That's my boyfriend" Lily said and kissed Michael.

"How do you read each other's mind?" Hannah asked totally confused. Before they could reply Maddie spoke.

"You guys are back together?"

"Well there are many things you still don't know" Lily grinned.

"So wanna hear the plan?" Michael asked and everybody nodded.
