Chapter 9 "The Privilege"

My eyes open to the songs the birds sing. I begin to stretch as I slowly rise and yawn. Missy is up making breakfast for Lisa. Lisa is in the shower preparing for the day. 'Hmm.. what should I do? I 'm so bored and there's no one in this house to play with or talk to' I think to myself as i lap up the water in my dish. I laid down again and waited for Lisa. I'm curled up in my bed until 8:30 A.M and i get up to dull my claws on the scratching post. I jump up on the couch and see that the scratcher is also a cat tower. ' How do i get up there?' I asked myself tilting my head in confusion.

Lisa walks out of her room and sits down on the couch. I laid down in her lap as she stroked my fur softly. I purred happily. 'Looks like I was laying in bed longer than i thought'I chuckled to myself. "Good morning Liela, you slept in this morning.'" Lisa said to me laughing. I meowed playfully as I was swatting the ball of yarn around the living room. Missy laughed ruefully and came over to me because I was stuck in the pile of string.Lisa laughed and came to help me.

I ran over to the sliding door and meowed loudly looking up at the handle on the door. Lisa came beside me. "Oh you want to go outside?"Lisa asked me. I meowed happily in response. "Okay, after lunch we can go outside" Lisa said with a smile on her face.I looked at the clock and all I had to do was wait two hours!
