(This is what's happening while Liela is with her friend)
Lisa's POV
I can't believe my mother. She wants to get rid of Liela. I'm so mad at her and I don't want to talk to her. After she told me she wanted Liela gone, I ran into my room and locked my door.
Right now I'm sitting on my bed. I hear the screen door shut and I begin to cry again.
I love Liela. She's just a kitten and she usually never gets in trouble. Mom was right about the whole kitchen getting messy though.
I'm not going to go out there tonight. Well... I mean the kitchen anyway. I can't believe she would put Liela outside by herself. I can't stop worrying about her. I know she'll be fine but I'm not sure if she will stay.
Wait, what if she wants to leave?
Oh no. This is bad.
What if she does leave?
I need to go out and find her and sneak her inside.
Liela's Pov
Me and lily are laying down on a blanket. We've been here for about an hour now.
"Hey lily?"I ask her.
"Yea?" She responds sleepily.
"Do you think my family still wants me?" I ask slowly.
She jumps up and goes right in front of me. "Of course! Liela you've only got in trouble. They still want you. They love you. I mean, who wouldn't love you! Anyone who wouldn't is stupid." She exclaimed. "Why would you ask that?" She asks.
I look down at my paws shamefully. "I've never got put outside before. Missy never looked back or even second guessed putting me outside" I said sadly.
After that she came up to me and cuddled with me. We lay on a big blanket in peace. Soon my eye lids grow heavy and I let sleep take over.
Leila's dream
I'm in Lilly's hide out in the sewers. I can't see much but there's a faint light at the end of the tunnel.
I follow the light out and I come to a pasture. I see Lilly standing up in the middle of the large group of flowers.
I head towards her but I stop in my tracks. I hear a loud growl come from behind me. I slowly turn around. I am face to face with a beautiful silver wolf.
"Hello young kitten. I am of no harm to you. I have come to warn you. I apologize for startling you with my growl. I needed to gain all attention" she says.
Her voice is just as beautiful as her fur. It comes out warm and soft like my mother except she is a wolf and my mother is a cat.
I snap out of my thought and realize what she said.
"Ma'am, you said you were here to warn me? Warn me about what exactly?" I ask.
I look back at Lilly who is still standing still, completely Immobile.
"Young one, people change over time. Some are good and others are bad." She pauses and holds a sad look on her face.
"Some find love by others and some are left to love themselves." She looks towards Lilly and sighs.
"Little one, has anyone explained your multicolored eyes?" She asks. I nod.
"Mamma says that I have these eyes because I'm special and that its in my genetics" I giggle. She looks annoyed but yet also happy and looks at me with kind, warm eyes.
"I need to tell you that what she said isn't the full truth---" she's cut off by an even louder growl. It sounds angry. I whimper in fear and cower underneath the silver wolf. She now looks worried.
"Oh no. Ugh. Young one," she turns to me.
"We've run out of time. Remember my earlier words. Stay strong. Now head back to your world. Good bye my dear" she rushed out. I then felt a pull and my vision started to go black.
"Goodbye wise one" I manage to squeak out before the scenery fully disappeared.
Leila's dream over
I wake up with a cold breeze blow against my fur.
I look around and I can't see her anywhere.
Where could she be?
I go down the sewer and see a dim light, just like in my dream. I begin to worry.
What if it happens again?
Who was going after the 'wise one'?
My mind is flown with questions and I can't think straight or concentrate on my surroundings. I want to turn around and try to find my way back home but I feel as though I have lost control of my body's actions.
I'm brought out of my thoughts when my paw touched the wet dew on the long grass surrounding me.
I see Lilly in the middle of the pasture again. Just like my dream, she was surrounded by flowers of various colors. She stood immobile. I stood and waited for my dream to come true, but it didn't happen. Lilly looked up at the sky and plopped her bottom on the grassy floor. She had wet streaks on her fur near her eyes so I knew she was crying. She raised her paw up off the ground and balanced her weight on her left paw. As she sat there I began to feel bad but suspicious.
I crouched down and stalked towards her. Not too close but just close enough to hear her. I perk my ears up to hear her clearer.
"I'm so sorry momma and papa. I can't do it. I just can't." she sobbed looking at the sky.
"I know you wanted me to do so much and live on the streets and live a free life, but I can't. I was supposed to hunt and live in the forest and do the things you never could but I need to be me. I need to live a life like Liela. I know you would be proud of her. She's found a loving family. They'll protect her now. I've watched her for you mom. She's doing just fine. I miss you guys so much." Her voice cracked at the end. Then she laughed a little. I was confused as to why she was laughing. She was just crying.
"Oh I forgot to tell you why Liela is with me right now. She got in a little trouble at home. She thinks her family doesn't want her anymore. Can you do me a favor?" She paused.
"Can you please make sure that missy forgives Liela? You know why we need to keep her safe. Her family will protect her. Just please do this, not for me, but for her?" She finishes. She plops herself down in the grass and puts her head in her paws. After a while, She sighs and begins to get up. I stood up and look at her. I look back at the tunnel and back at her again. I decided on staying to show her I heard what she said.
She turns around slowly but when she sees me she runs to me and nuzzles her head against me. (For me this is a hug but to humans this is us showing our affection for each other. Humans have a weird way of thinking.)
I allow her to continue hugging me while she cries softly. I could tell she was trying to silently cry but failed. After we were done comforting each other I finally noticed the time. We went to the tunnels and I asked her to take me home. On my way home I noticed we had to go a different way. There was now an obstacle in our way. We had to go the long way around.
Lisa's Pov
I went outside last night to look for Liela and she wasn't out there. I've been looking all around for her but still can't find her. It's now 4:00am and I grabbed a duffel bag and get some clothes and my needed material. I sneak out into the kitchen and grab a napkin. I grabbed my bull point pen and wrote
