Missy's Pov
Lisa slams her door and locks it behind her. I try to knock but she doesn't answer. I see Liela out of the corner of my eye. She scurries across the floor with her ears down and her head lowered in fear. She's never heard Lisa shout before. I see her scratch the door, trying to get Lisa to open it up.
I go to my room and sit on my bed with my head in my hands. I try to sleep as I toss and turn. I try to get comfortable and slowly close my eyes. I let a much needed sleep take me as its prisoner.

I jolt awake with tears in my eyes. I can't forget the night she left. They both left. My two little girls left. I haven't seen them. I tried to look for them both. Each day I would go out and skip work to put posters up. I informed the police and her father the day I woke up with them gone.
I still remember going outside to grab Liela. I still remember opening Lisa's room to find it empty. I also remember the note she left. The note that haunts me. The one that takes away my hope of finding my girls. The one I will never forget.

Lisa's Pov
We've been searching for Nira for the past 3 days. Earlier we found tracks leading up the river. We seen some of her fur caught in a shrub. That's what I'm doing right now. I'm following her trail. I haven't seen much around here so I also look around. I step on a towing and it snaps. I hear a little growl come from the trees. I look around my feet and look for something to protect myself with. I search the ground around me quickly and spot a rock. I see something move and aim at the figure in the tree. As I release the rock I notice that it was just a bird. I chuckle to myself until I hear a loud crack and pop sound. It sounds as if it's bones that are breaking. It sounds painful. I look around and don't see anything. I climb a tree quickly and find a branch to sit on. Over a shrub I see a kitten. I look around to see if it belongs to anyone, but soon stop looking as I hear the kitten whimper. As I look in the direction in which he was looking, I freeze. I see a white mountain lion cub. But where there's a cub, there's a mama. With a mama come teeth, very sharp teeth.
The wind picks up slightly as the kitten calms down. He begins to move his little jaw but I can't see very clear. I look away from the kitten to find something to throw at the cub to save the kitten. I then begin to hear voices. I can't make out what they're saying because the wind I blocks out their words. I see a pinecone and grab it. As I turn back to the cab, I see it get closer to the kitten. I'm about to throw it when he nuzzles his head in the cubs chest. I let out a sigh of relief as I begin to descend down the tree. Maybe nature can be kind.

Liela's Pov
I step back slightly.
"What?" I ask.
"A cub" he says.
I back away from him shaking my head. My tail hits a tree as I sit down and lean against it.
"No. No. This can't be..." I whisper as I stare at the ground.
"Liela?" Jake says as he approaches me. I stand up and move around him.
"Jake, I- I need to go." I say.
"Why?" I asks me.
"Because Jake. Im a monster" I whisper the last part through tears as I turn around and dash away.

*2 hours later*
I'm still running and can no longer hear footsteps. I look behind me and see no one there. As I turn my attention back to what's in front of me my eyes widen. I fall to the ground as my head collides with a fallen tree. I roll onto my stumach and rest my head on my paws. My head hurts really bad.

In the distance I can see a slight figure beginning to form. It's not a human, it's an animal. As it comes closer the shape becomes clearer. It's a mountain lion. She sits next to me and lowers her head to my height.
"Please don't hurt me!" I squeak. She laughs a little before smiling slightly at me.
"Hi there little one. Are you lost?" She asks me.
I go to sit up but the pain in my head sends me flying back to the ground.
"Kinda. You see, I'm kitten. I shifted into this cub. I ran from my m- ma- umm male friend?" I say as I pause, not knowing if I should tell her who Jake is to me.
"Anyways, his names Jake." As soon as this leaves my mouth, the lion lays on her stomach and submits to me. I look at her confused.
"Why'd you do that?" I ask her.
I see fear cross her face quickly, but as quick as it showed, it left.
"Please forgive me. Don't get Jake to get me. I don't want to be punished." She rushes out.
"Don't worry, I won't let him. Plus, he's been stuck with me for a few months" I giggle. She stands up and let's out a sigh of relief.
"I'm sorry. It's just that I've never met him before and he is supposed to be the prince of all felines. There's also a princess from another family but she was stolen and forced into a kitten form at a young age. She was originally born as human to hide her identity, but the king and queen had a witch cast a spell on her, forcing her kitten form onto her as a baby. They hid her at a house with another family to act as a house pet until she becomes of age to take over the kingdom. I've heard people say that she doesn't even know who she is! To be honest, It's really sad..." She says.
"Oh trust me, she knows. She knows a lot more now than you think" I mumble while I roll my eyes.
"What do you mean?" She asks me while I just smirk.
"What's the princess's name?" I ask her. She looks at me suspiciously before answering.
"Princess Deka when in human form. When in feline form she is most known as Princess Liela. Why?" She says.
"Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Liela. I was a kitten but I shifted into this form without knowing how to change back. Can you help me please?" I ask her as her jaw drops to the forest floor.
"Yes Princess" she says and guides me to her cave.
