Sneak Peak

(Most of the 1st chapter to the sequel)
*5 years later*

Leila's pov
It's been 5 years in this place. 5 years since I came to this terrible cell. 5 years since I've spoken, since I've become mute.
I'm not even sure if I can talk anymore.

From being quiet I've learned that the bosses name is Lucy. She's a literal witch. The same one who I took my brother away from me.

I'm supposed to meet her today.
I'm not sure how she'll treat me though.

"Wake up you little b**** of a mute!" I hear the guard yell.

I slowly sit up and look at him.
His name is Dave. Dave comes to try and feed me. He's the only one who knows I've haven't been eating all the food they give me.

I usually end at a couple of bites and give the rest to Lisa. Dave found out when he caught me giving her my food I one time. Lisa didn't want to eat it but I made her.

Yea, I know I can't talk buy I give her a glare and she can't deny me.

"Help!" I hear a familiar voice say.

"Who's there?" I ask in my head.

"Liela? Liela is that you!?" The voice asks.

I mentally nod my head.

"Who are you?" I ask.

"It's me, Deka. Don't you remember me?" She asks.

I stop to take a second to think back.
Deka...
Who?
Wait!
Deka!

"Deka?" I ask with tears.

"Yes. I m sorry I couldn't talk to you. They keep putting something in what little food you eat. It blocks me out and slowly poisons me. It takes me awhile to fight off the poison until tr get give you more. You didn't eat at all for the past 3 days so now I can finally reach you. I'm sorry we still can't contact anyone yet. How long has it been since we've been here?" She asks me.
"Deka," I say slowly.
"We've been here for 5 years. I'm 18 now. They starve me and beat me. I've also become mute. I don't talk. I don't think I can anymore. I honestly don't think I want to either." I tell her.

"You know, Jake still hasn't given up yet. He prays to the moon goddess that he gets us back. We have to try to get out of here. We're still not strong enough but we need him. Soon, he'll give up hope. Then, we'll be to late..." Deka says.

A loud slam on the bars bring me out of my conversation with Deka.
I see Dave standing with my cell door open.
He motions for me to follow him.
I turn my gaze to the floor. I slowly make my way up towards him with a slight limp.
I'm covered in bruises and you can see my rib cage. My once healthy hazel hair is now greecy and long with dead ends.
I have dirty ripped clothing and Im bare foot.

Dave leads me towards a large silver door guarded by 8 big vamps.

Dave types in a code while holding onto my elbow.
The door flings open and I for the first time in 5 years, I can see sunlight.
It shines through the windows that run along the wall in the long hall.

Dave drags me up 5 flights of stairs and I keep my eyes glued to the ground and have my hair cover my face.

We get to a huge door that is pulled open. Inside there are desks and a throne-like chair. There are couches and chairs around a long light brown table. I'm guessing it's a table for when they have a meeting or something.

"Ma'am. Here's the girl. She doesn't talk though. She's a mute. Hasn't talked for 5 years from what we know. She doesn't even cry or scream when we torture her." Dave tells a lady.

The lady has orange curly hair and pale skin with a slight tan. She has brown eyes and she wears black leggings and a loose yellow shirt.

"Hmm. Why has she become mute?" The lady asks.

"We aren't sure ma'am." Dave says.
She nods.

"Okay. You may go now. I have a few things to tell her in private." She says.

Dave nods and closes the door behind him. The lady stands up and comes towards me.

"Do you know who I am?" She asks.

I only shake my head slightly.

"I'm the boss. My name's Lucy." She says.

I snap my head up and meet her gaze.
My eyes are full of hatred. She's Lucy lunatic from my dream that I had 5 years ago!
She kidnapped my brother!

"Aww, I see you remember me. That's great. I let your brother go you know. 5 years ago he slipped off of a cliff. He fell into a river. Haven't seen him since. Not even sure if he made it out alive. You've got guts ya know kid. If you don't even let out a tear, then I'll have to intensify my torture. I've heard about what Tom did to you a couple weeks after he brought you here. I'm not that mean. I didn't let it slip. I killed him and made sure to put pills in your food to help." She says.

I nod. Why is she being nice?
She took me. She took my brother.
She even took my human.

"Oh, and don't think I'm being nice. I was the one who made you fall down that hole. I was the one who killed Tara in that car crash so many years ago. I made you lose attention from those people in that pet store too. However, I couldn't get Lisa away from you. No wonder why either, she had Willow. I did take the only person who knew how to take you home though. I took Lilly. But most of all, I took you away from your mate!" She whispers the last part in my ear.

My eyes tear up and my knees buckle from beneath me. I fall to the floor in silent tear. I don't make a sound. I just let the tears fall freely. I don't even care anymore.
I miss them. I miss everything she's taken from me.
Except for my human. I still have Deka. She won't take her away. I'll find a way out of here. If it means to starve myself, then so be it. I will.

Wow, I can't believe it.
7 months. It may not seem like long and I know it doesn't feel like it's been that long but it has.
I maybe could've made this a little longer but I was running out of ideas and no one was helping me out.
Sorry I didn't make the best book. I just hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did writing it.
And plz don't be shy if you don't understand something. I'll try my best to explain it.
Hopefully the sequel will be out soon. I'm not sure. Maybe next month?
Idk. You guys tell me what you think but I need more than 1 or 2 to tell me when.
