I gapped at him in eerie silence still struggling to form actual words. "W-what are y-you" I blurted, the words feeling sour off my chapped lips.
He took a step closer making me wince. His icy breath fanned over my face leaving goosebumps. "Your a peculiar one aren't you?" he countered glazing the back of his cold hand across my cheek.
I shivered from the contact. I distinctively took a few steps backwards creating a small gap between us. I wanted to be as far away from him as possible.
The fear quivered up my ankles and down my arms. "What are you?" I commanded, voice coming out shaky.
"Darling your face is so red. I can smell the blood threating to exploded from your human flesh. That's what you are. Your a human. Aren't you?" He asked completely ignoring my question.
"What else would I be!" I hissed.
My confusion was as deep as the ocean, but my fear was deeper.
"I have to say. I'm surprised your still alive. I didn't know that impulsive stuff they feed us in the cafeteria could weaken everyone's senses so extraordinarily.I heard your heart pumping in your chest when I ran into you..." he paused before licking his lips. "Infact I can hear your heart pounding right now. I can hear the blood gushing through your veins.
It's quiet intoxicating really" He smirked running a hand through his vibrant blonde hair. Nothing he was saying made any sense, but red flags blurred my vision.
Was he crazy. Was he seriously mentally ill. My mind quivered on the thought of him hurting me. He was beating around the bush. What was he going to do to me? There was no reason for him to torture me like this. If he was going to kill me , why not just get it over with.
End my miserable life. It wasn't like I had much to live for anyways. Just another burden realest from the world.
"What are you?!" I asked for the third time, my voice rising in volume.
Noah licked his lips "Something you wouldn't want to be" he divulged. "I'm not exactly a fairy tale dream, I'm a blood sucker, we all are, everyone in the academy."
I stared at him blankly in pure shock and fear.
"So your like....a Vampire" I spoke unsurely.
His right eyebrow quirked upward and his black eyes flushed back to their crystal blue state. The sight was something supernatural and made me feel as though I was watching something from a sci-fi movie."I don't like that word, but I guess you can say that" he proclaimed. The girl behind him moaned in agony.
I tried my hardest to ignore her pointing my attention back to Noah."And what if I don't believe your a....Vampire" I asked crossing over my arms.
A part of me wondered if this was a joke, some sick prank to pull on the newbie.
It angered me and although I couldn't deny what my eyes saw, I wouldn't cross out the taunting possibility."I'm serious" He shouted making me flinch. It grew quiet. Us just looking at each other, me speechless and him looking completely affended and baffled.
Then I rembered that he inded bit that girl. Was this forreal?
No. It couldn't be. But I saw it with my own eyes. I couldn't explain the part of me that kept dismissing what I didn't want to believe."Show me" I commanded taking a brave step forward, ignoring the frantic voices in my head which screamed to run away and not look back.
He look at me in surprise, shocked by my boldness.
Suddenly his hand came up to grab hold of my small face. His pale thumb grazed my jawline leaving a trail of goosebumps. Was it wrong to like this?
