Chapter 15

Despite all the commotion the dance reminded exactly the way I left it. The students were still enjoying themselves. It was a sight to witness . I've never seen people party so...properly.

I wasn't inside, just looking in through the glass part of the door.

I was in no mood to go back in there.
So instead ventured around the school until I reached my dorm. I was never really given a punishment, but then again what would I be punished for? Being beat up?

Lifting up the dress I could see the bruises already forming. I had no idea it was that bad.
It didn't feel as horrible as it looked but that didn't make the situation any less serious.

The sudden knock on the door startled me. Lilly was at the dance so who could it be.
I wonder how she was feeling right about now.
"Not in the mood so fuck off" I hollered.

"Sky please it's me."
Realizing the familiar voice I nearly tripped over my own two feet stalking towards the door.

It was Noah of course and his slender body was leant against the doorframe. Without a word I crashed into him wrapping my arms around his neck. He looked startled at my burstly affection but nonchalantly accepted.

"I heard what happened are ok?" He asked concerned. "I'm fine" I answered still clinging on to him as if letting go meant death.

He gently pried my arms from him taking my face in his hands. For a second he took a moment to look me up and down. "My god Matthews your stunning" he complimented.

My cheeks went hot as I looked to the ground.  I did not know how to properly accept a compliment for shit.
"I suppose your aware of the feeding tonight?" I brought up changing the subject. After all that has happen the last thing I want to talk about is my appearance.
Noah went silent for a while looking as though he were pondering on what to say next.

"I know, in fact I'll be attending" he confessed.
I took a step back letting what he said sink in.
If he's going to be around me , the part of him that feels the need to kill people needs to be eliminated.
"Noah you can't just murder people , has knowing me meant nothing to you?"

"I don't actually kill people. Not unless I absolutely have to. I need my strength because knowing your human and being weak makes it a little harder to resist the temptation" he was on defense now.

"I probably wouldn't care that much taking mind my shitty circumstances" I responded carelessly.

In a quick movement my back was pressed against the door. "Don't you ever say something like that again you don't want to be like me" he said.

Recovering from my loss of breath I attempted to shove his body off of mine but his stone like frame prevented that from happening. I was just too weak, another downfall of being human.

"Meredith knows about me, Mr.hensmen is taking her heart out so any bit of humanity she has will be gone, Don't you see? I'm already dead."

Noah's grip on me faltered but he continued to hold me there.
It was tap out time. Time to just give up.
"Stop worrying so much your going to be fine, I'm not going to let anything happen to yo-"

"Stop fucking saying that" I cut him off giving him my meanest glare.

I was through with it all at this point. All of his protection promises were comforting but not at all nearly as settling as I needed them to be.

"Where were you when Meredith attacked me at the dance?"I asked looking him in the eye. With my free hands I began to lift my dress exposing the newly purple and blue bruises that were sketched across my skin.

He looked guilty and He shouldn't have. He had no obligations towards me.
I just had to let him know that he couldn't always protect me like he wants to.

Not realizing that in the process of lifting my dress I had involuntarily revealed my panties I hurried to put the dress back into place but Noah's hand stopped me.

The blush tent on my cheeks must of been so evident when He began to bend down to my waist level.
"She did this to you....." He stated mostly to himself.
My breathing went slow.
I gave him a small nod.
"She's going to kill me one of these days" I admitted bitterly. 

He didn't really seem to pay attention to my last words, he just appeared to be looking over my bruises as if he were doing some kind of examination.
My back arched a bit when his cold fingers began to glide across the flesh.

I'd winced when he'd go over a bruise but I never really felt the need to tell him to stop.
I was caught off guard when I felt his soft lip make contact with my flesh before he began to leave a trail of kisses up my stomach.

It felt extremely good and I had to mentally fight myself to prevent a moan from slipping out.

I looked in utter amazement when the purple and blue tints began to subside and my skin slowly returned back to its healthy tan color.

They were gone. The bruises where gone just like that in a blink of an eyes . Noah had healed them.
"H-how did you...."
"Don't ask, it's just part of being a vampire"he flaunted.

"All vampires can do that?" I asked suddenly interested in the topic.
He shook his head verguraly. "I've misspoken. When you become a vampire you develop certain gifts and it has a lot to do with the Individual's previous life. But when your born a vampire,like myself. You contain all of them."

"Wow. It must be nice" I said a hint of enviousness dead in my tone.

I was jealous. I lived a life where my  parents would  rather send me to a boarding school then to deal with the problem right on.
I had fake unreliable friends and everyone hated me.
Why wouldn't they.

Noah began to interfere with what I said but was interrupted when the door jerked open forcefully shoving us forward.

My body came colliding directly onto Noah's.

It was Lilly and she was standing there with a embarrassed look on her face  as if she had walked In on her parents or something.

From her view I can see how this could look wrong.
"I-I didn't mean to intervene o-on whatever this is. I just came for my purse" She stammered.

Noah and I immediately separated ourselves from each other.
"Is it time to depart?" He asked Lilly completely ignoring her horror.
She seemed to be in a daze before slowly coming back from it.

"Ah yes we were just leaving we should hurry before we're left behind."
"Wait hold the phone, you cant drink for three weeks" I stated.

" I can't drink the blood in the cafeteria,Mr. Hensmen never said anything about real blood" she retorted a sly smile creeping to her lips.

She had a defiant side. Impressed?yes.
"We should hurry then. Sky you should stay here" Noah suggested.
"No she should come too no one deserves to be deprived of any natural blood" Lilly defended for me.

"Yea, I should go" I agreed.

Noah frowned countering a look that only I'd understand.

"Fine, lets go then" he coaxed bumping my shoulder as he walked pass. There's the asshole I know.
