I woke in my bunk. Memories from last night seemed vague and I didn't have the strength to recaperate them.

The bite on my neck had disappeared all together  but it's short presence maintained to leave an itchy prickling feeling across the skin.
I didn't sleep well last night leaving me slightly drowsy. I looked over at Lilly who was sleeping peacefully under her covers.
It was hard to believe that she was a vampire too. Of course the pale skin made sense but I couldn't picture her feeding off of humans.
She was just too sweet.
A part of me wondered if she had ever killed a human, and if so how many?
Until she told me herself I wouldn't go making accusations. For now she was a human to me.
She sure as hell slept heavier than I did. I didn't even know vampires could sleep.

A lot of things are going to start making sense to me now that I know the big subject, that being their immorality.

In the cafeteria I got some oatmeal and an apple with once again the red juice which I now know is the supposed blood. Maybe not a human's but probably an animal's.
I would force myself to drink it. Remembering what Noah said, this was the knock off blood. They weren't allowed to drink actual blood and if this was their only source why would I risk a chance of sticking out by not drinking it?

I sat by myself at a round table thinking over my situation . What would I tell my parents. What excuse could I come up with for them to switch me. The jokingly side of me suggested that my parents had known that this school was swarmed with vampires but thinking that made me once again realize how truly fucked I was.

There's no getting expelled because I can't draw attention towards myself and there's no telling my parents about my serious situation because then I'd just get scowled.

Who knew how strict they could be. What if their punishments were impossible for a human to survive?

I wanted to spend as much time away from the Vampires so I could scetch
out my escape plan without looking suspicious.
When I was done eating I threw my trash away and headed for the door when I felt stone cold hands grasp my shoulders.

I jumped up in shock turning around only to be faced with Noah. I sighed running a hand through my hair. " I need to talk to you" he grunted.
"What is it?" I asked.
He looked around the crowded cafeteria before meeting my eyes. "Just follow me" he announced before scurrying  through the double doors. I rushed out after him following him down a hall and into a random janitors closet.
Once I was in he locked the door. "Have you thought of what your gonna do yet?" He asked anxiously.
"No I haven't" I confessed.
"This is bad, listen. You need to stay away from the twins,Brandon, Meredith, and Tiffany. They fed as well last night and their senses are re-in-stored  so they'll be able to tell whether your human or not" he instructed.

This just got even more serious.

"My plan was to stay away from all vampires."
He shot me a look cringing at the word.
I forgot he doesn't like the term 'vampire'.
"Have you heard from your parents?" He questioned. I shrugged.
"Sky..." He dragged my name out. "Exactly what would I tell them? You realize this is the 6th school I've been to in four years. I messed up. I did something really bad. That's why I'm here Noah" I gushed.

His bright blue eyes seemed glossy like he was about to cry, but they were always like that.
"What did you do?"

I shook my head glancing at the ground. I had the guts to do it, why did I feel ashamed to actually say it. Was embarrassed at what I'd done?
"You see, the principle at our school is a bit of a stifler
nobody likes him. I was having a bad week and I happened to curse at my teacher for some reason I don't remember and he gave me three whole weeks detention. I was pissed so a friend and I decided to sneak into school after hours and trash his office. Long story short, he caught us (well me) told my parents that if I didn't leave on my free will they'd press charges. My parents sent me here as a last resort" I confessed.

The look on his face was of complete shock. He was really shocked. "Wow, Um that's bad" he mumbled.

"Here to judge me too?"

" No , I'm just really worried about you Sky" he gushed giving me sympathetic eyes.
I didn't need anybody feeling sorry for me.
"You don't need to be worried about me. I'll figure something out " I replied bitting down hard on my bottom lip.

His fingers immediately  came up to my face removing my lip from my teeth. "Don't do that you'll draw blood" he whispered in a husky tone.

He didn't stop though. His fingers continued to roam my face. His cold fingers felt strange on my skin. Why did this feel weird . I wasn't the boyfriend type. In fact my life held little romance.

This was something different.

He placed his palm over my chest as a grim smile plastered his perfect face. "Your heart is beating so fast" he chuckled. I released a shaky breath stepping away from him.

"Thank you for warning  me Noah. I should get ready for 2nd period though" I said opening the door.

He huffed flinging his wavy hair to the side. "See you later."
"Yea see yah."
We hesitantly went our separate ways after that.

It wasn't that I didn't like Noah because I did. I just didn't want to cause future heartbreak. I knew he was a vampire and I was a human.

That would never work out.
Especially now that I told him why I'm here I wonder if he'd stop giving me head ups or updates of what could be a threat to me. What he'd now think that I deserve what ever is stored for me .
I'm not a horrible person , I'm not.

I headed back to the dorm deciding to actually wear the uniform  today. If I didn't want to cause attention to myself I might as well follow the regulations.

I removed my ripped jeans and converse replacing them with the skirt and buttoned up top with the tie. After braiding my hair into a French braid I put on the heels Lilly gave me and once fully dressed I gazed at myself in the mirror an unsure look reflecting against it.

Just as I grabbed my bag the door nob turned reveling Lilly. She hadn't took three full steps before she froze in her steps.

  "Wow" she gasped.
I rolled my eyes. "It's no big deal don't make such a huge fuss out of it" I grumbled  situating my collar.
I felt like a business women. The only time I ever dressed fancy was when I went to church that one Sunday.

"You look so beautiful. I prefer this instead of those ripped clothing that you love" she giggled.
"Why I'm insulted"I mocked her accent.
"Sorry. Hey so about that dance next Friday , I was wondering if you were going" she mentioned.

I wasn't much for dances. I sucked at dancing and I in fact had zero dresses. I hated dresses. I don't know why people had to be so sexiest when it came to girls and their wardrobe. Besides all of that. I had to lay low until I could find a way out of here.

"I don't know Lilly. Dances aren't really my thing."
"Why not it'll be fun, I helped plan it so I know it's going to be just fantastic" she cheered.
I mentally rolled my eyes.
"That's cool I hope you have a lot of fun" I replied.

"Listen, if your not still interested in Noah, my boyfriend's friend doesn't have a date if your willing..." Lilly advised.

"Are you serious?" I cracked.

"What's wrong."
"Let me guess Lilly. Your trying to hook me up with your boyfriend's friend practically pimping me out so that you feel better about your stupid little dance" I spat.

A hurt expression curved her perfect face.
"Just forget I asked" she responded disappearing into the bathroom.

I rubbed my eyes sighing.
Not only do I not know how to talk to people, but apparently vampires to.
