The New Dumping Ground Girl.

Chapter 1- Moving in.

Katie Pov:
Today's the day I go into care and I've never been so scared. My social worker Daisy put my belongings in the boot of the car, whilst I sat in the front. She kept saying how I'm going to like this place and that I'll make friends very easily. I finally decided to put my headphones in and go to sleep.
About an hour later, Daisy woke me up saying that we had arrived. As she got my bags for me, I took a look at the place. It looked nice and there were a few of the other children playing outside the front. Suddenly, a man with bald hair came out and said "Hi I'm Mike, the head care worker here and you must be Katie?" I nodded as I shook his hand. "If you'll both follow me inside." He then led the way. As I entered the house, it looked very homely and lovely.
When we walked into his office, I just sat down and listened to my social worker and Mike talk. "Katie?" Daisy called. "Yeah?" "Mike has something to say." I looked towards Mike and heard him say "you're going to sharing a room with a nice girl named Jody." I then replied saying "okay." Whilst Daisy and Mike finished doing paperwork another lady walked in. "Hi I'm May-lee nice to meet you." "Hi I'm Katie."

Mike then said to her "May-lee can you please go get Jody?" May-lee then walked out and a few seconds later she walked in with a girl that had brown hair. "Jody this is Katie, she's new and she'll be sharing a room with you whilst she's here." Mike then explained. "Hi, nice to meet you." Jody said. I then quietly replied "you too." As I shook her hand. "Can you take her up to your room? I'll bring up your belongings later Katie." Jody then nodded at Mike as I said thanks and goodbye to Daisy.

We walked up the stairs until we came to door which said Jody's Room, so I knew that we had arrived. "In you come, this is your side of the room so you can do whatever you like with it." She explained. I hummed to show I was listening. Mike then came in and gave me my bags and said "I'll call you when lunchs ready." When he closed the door Jody looked over at me and said "are you okay?" "I'm a bit nervous and scared." "Aw I understand, we've all felt like that. You'll settle in soon. I'll let you unpack and meet you downstairs in a bit yeah?" I nodded.

Whilst I was unpacking some boy with blonde ish came rushing in. "Jody have you got your.. Oh hi?" I just stayed silent. "I've never seen you before. You must be new what's your name?" I silently said "Katie." "Cool, I'm Ryan." I just nodded. Mike then shouted up "lunchs ready guys!" I got up as Ryan spoke and said "I'll walk down with you so you know where you're going." "Thanks."
