Chapter 4- Relaxing day & talking to Ryan.

Authors Note: all the facts about Ryan I'm making up on the spot. Enjoy the chapter!

This morning I woke up quite late because I had a headache. The time is currently 11:15am and I've just gotten ready for the day. I walked downstairs and heard everyone in the lounge watching tv. When I walked in, May-lee came over and said "you're up. Are you okay?" "Got a bit of a headache but I'm okay." "I'll go get you something." I sat down next to Tee and starting watching tv when May-lee gave me a glass of water and a headache tablet. After I took that, it was time for lunch. I sat next in between Bailey and Kazima. By the time we finished lunch and the others had washed up it was around 12:30.

I decided to upstairs to get my book then go sit in the garden and read it. No one was out there so I just sat in the little hiding place hidden behind the bushes. After a while Ryan came outside reading a card, he hadn't noticed me yet so I continued with my book. "Oh.. Hello Katie." I looked up and saw Ryan in front of me. "Hiya." "What you doing out here all on your own?" "Thought I'd just relax and read my book." "Cool. Ooh I've got an idea lets get to know each other better." He explained as he sat down. I nodded and said "You ask a question and answer then I'll answer, ask a question and answer etc.. You go first" "Ok."
R~ "Fave colour? Mines blue."
K~ "Purple. Fave drink? Mines chocolate milk."
R~ "Fanta. Fave food? Mines pizza."
K~ "Pasta. Fave song? Mines moments by 1D."
R~ "Oh so you're a one direction fan I see.. Mines maybe talk me down Troye Sivan.
K~ "I like that song too. Fave film? Mines the longest ride or Titanic."
R~ "Woah! Mines either James Bond or I kinda like disney films. Any siblings? I have a younger sister called Chloe."
K~ "Aw I'd love to meet her someday and OMG yes disney films are epic. I have an older brother called Chris. Hobbie? Mines probably being on my phone, eating and sleeping aha!"
R~ "Maybe one day you can meet her, he sounds awesome and mines sleeping too, I also love to skateboard."
K~ "That's awesome."
R~ "Do you want to try it out the front?"
K~ "I'll be terrible though." As I looked down all embarrassed. He lifted my chin with his fingers and said "I'll help you." So I took his hand and we walked through telling Mike where we were off to and went to the front of the care home. Whilst Ryan went to get his skateboard from the garage I was wondering what everyone else was up to, they were probably in their rooms. I'm so scared to get on the skateboard cause I might trip over. Soon enough Ryan walked out with his board pushing it along with his feet and a helmet in his hand. "I'll show you first." I nodded as I watched him put on his helmet and get on the skateboard. When he started skating and talking to me about it, I couldn't stop staring at his beautiful brown eyes whilst watching the way his lips moved when he spoke. "So now you put the helmet on and try." I nodded quickly as I put it on so he didn't know I was staring. "Okay, so step sideways onto the board and I'll hold you so you don't fall off." "Promise?" I asked. "I promise." He replied as he held my hands when I got on to it. He then started walking around so I was moving on it. We couldn't stop smiling and laughing with eachother I loved this feeling. "I'm ganna let go of you for a bit now, but I'll be right behind you." I nodded as I pushed down with my feet then started skating off. "Omg Ryan I'm doing it..look I can do it." Two seconds later though I felt myself falling off. "Ahhh!!" Just as I was falling off, Ryan caught me by my waist and whispered in my ear "I promised I'd never let you fall off." I found myself blushing again at his words. "Aha thanks." I replied as I turned to face him.

K~ "Do you know what time it is?" R~ "About 3:45pm I think why?" K~ "Wow we've been hanging out for so long!" R~ "What's wrong with hanging out with me?" K~ "Nothing, I love chilling with you." He smirked and said "Are you cold? Do you want to go inside?" I shivered replying "I'm fine, lets continue." He looked at me and knew I was lying so walked over to me. He then hugged me and OMG I could feel how warm he was so I started hugging him back. It felt like we were hugging for ages when all of a sudden I heard Mike shout "Guys it's getting late, come inside." Once we walked inside we both walked upstairs. "Wanna come hang out in my room? I wanna show you a message." "Yeah sure just let me put my book away. I'll meet you there in a second." He nodded and walked towards his room. Whilst I was putting my book away Carmen,Tee and Jody ran into my room then quickly closed the door. They all started talking at once. "Guyssss one at a time and quick." Jody started off by saying "so we all saw you skateboarding with Ryan...." Then Tee, "what's going on between you two?" And lastly Carmen, "do you like him?" I blushed at that and decided to answer all of their questions. "We were getting to know eachother, Ryan and I are just friends and maybe I do." I explained looking down as I felt my cheeks get warm. "Eeek!" They all squealed. "If anything happens, I'll tell you just don't tell him. Now I must be going he wants to show me a message in his room." So I walked past them all and made my way to his room.

As I was walking to his room I was feeling really nervous I don't know why. *Knock Knock* "come in." I heard him say. As I walked in he smiled at me and patted the space next to him on his bed, so I sat down. We were sat silently on his bed when all of a sudden he got up to get something for under his bed. He pulled out a box and put it next to me. When he took the lid off I saw lots of letters inside and he took one out that was in a blue envelope. He handed it to me and said "I met up with her for the first time in 6 years a few weeks ago. She was amazing and she sent this to me before I saw her." I then read the message inside the envelope, but was quite confused. Ryan then proceeded to tell me about Chloe and why he was in care. By the end of the story he was sobbing so I shuffled nearer him and felt him lean on my shoulder as he tried to calm down. "It's okay Ryan I understand, I'm always going to be here for you." He sniffles and says "tell me about you and your brother Chris." I nodded and started explaining. By the time I was finished with my story, I was feeling quite sad. I looked at Ryan and he looked at me. "I miss him so much!" "Naw babe don't cry." He said as he hugged me. I started crying on his shoulder. After a few minutes I had calmed down a bit, so I pulled back. "Omg I'm so sorry I've got your shoulder wet." As I laughed slightly and so did he. "Thank you so much for an amazing day today Katie, I love spending time with you." "Thank you too Ryan and and so do I!" "Let's go downstairs before dinner yeah?" I nodded.

We held hands as we both walked downstairs to sit down next to eachother at the dining table ready for dinner. Tony and Billie were already in there so we let go of eachothers hands quickly. "Hi girls, how's your day been?" "Good thank you!" They both replied. I then felt Ryan grab my hand under the table and hold it so I looked at him and smiled. We then heard May-lee shout "dinners ready everyone." Everyone walked in and took a seat for dinner. Jody sat the other side of me and Tyler sat the other side of Ryan. I looked at Ryan as if to say let go I'll hold it again later. He understood what I meant so let go and we all started eating our dinner. After dinner, Finn and Harry started washing up so everyone else just went into the lounge. Ryan had already gone to bed and as I was on my way upstairs Mike looked at me saying "Katie, are you alright? You look a bit pale." I replied saying "I feel a bit sick to be honest, but I should be fine once I sleep." He nodded, but said "if you don't feel well during the night get Jody to wake one of us okay?" I nodded then waved goodnight to him as I walked upstairs to my room. I heard him telling Jody about me and her replying that's fine. I then got dressed and as I was walking back to my room I bumped into Ryan. "Omg babe you need to sleep,you look really poorly." "I'm going to and I should be fine by tomorrow don't worry." "Hmm..okay. Well goodnight Katie." He spoke as he hugged me. I hugged him back and whispered "goodnight Ryan." into his ear. We soon pulled away and he waved as he walked to his room. I then got into bed, turned my light off and went to sleep.
