**Author's note--
I dislike using stuff such as (Y/N) & such, so I will keep them to a minimum.
Enjoy the fanfiction!
You slouch down on your bed, tired after a long day at school. You open your laptop. It's been in sleep mode, and shows a blank screen with a white 'play' button in the center. Well, time to procrastinate and watch Black Butler all over again.
You press the 'play' button.
The episode loads for what feels like an eternity.
Just when it stops loading, the screen goes completely blank for a second.
Then, there is static.
The screen is completely haywire.
The white noise it emits is almost hypnotic. You think you hear a familiar voice through the static.
Your heartbeat suddenly becomes the loudest sound in the universe.
This isn't supposed to happen.
Panic rises in your throat in the form of a scream as everything goes black.
. . .
You open your eyes.
You're sitting on your knees.
You're wearing a dress.
It's a navy blue color.
Your hair is pulled back into a tight ponytail.
When your surroundings come into focus, you can see that you're in....
The Trancy mansion?
How is this possible?
This is only a fictional place.
This can't be real.
This isn't right.
Conflicting emotions of happiness and confusion battle for dominance inside of you.
You're in your favorite fictional world! You should be happy!
But you could die. A demon could kill you if given the command. A reaper could be waiting, just around the corner, waiting for just the right moment to strike.
The world of Black Butler seemed so exciting and romantic at first sigh. Now, it is downright terrifying and dangerous.
You struggle to stand up in your long dress. You also find that you are wearing a pair of black, lace-up boots that reach just beyond your ankles. They feel a size too small and are difficult to stand in.
As you observe your surroundings, you hear a familiar voice echo through the corridor. The voice is musical, and yet mocking.
Alois Trancy.
You are frozen in place. Unsure of where to go, what to do.
Alois's footsteps grow louder, and louder.
The door to your left swings open.
Alois, closely followed by Claude Faustus, strolls into the room.
"Aha! You're here! My dearest.... Sam."
And in that instant, you forget your old name. You are Sam now.
You tremble a little. Alois already rewrote a crucial part of you with a single word. What else does he intend to do to you?
He advances toward you. He puts his face close to yours, so you can't escape his piercing gaze.
His icy blue eyes scrutinize every inch of you.
A smirk plays on his lips.
"Not bad. You'll make a nice replacement for Hannah."
"Re-replacement?" You barely whisper.
"Yes, yes. You'll be replacing Hannah. You will help me to alter my fate. Avoid my death."
"How?"
"I have a set story. I do the same old silly thing over and over again. You, you, however, are a, how you say, 'wild card'. You can do whatever you wish, and others will have to respond. But, do be careful, Sammy dearest. Whatever you do from here on out will be set in stone!"
He laughs his sadistic laugh when he sees your horrified reaction.
He leans in very close. Too close, and pulls your face up to his.
"Which is why," he says very softly, "I'll be keeping a very close eye on you."
He laughs again and strolls out of the room.
Claude motions for you to follow. Out of curiosity, you follow him out of the room you woke up in, and down the hallway. He opens a door on the far left. You follow him in.
The room is quite spacious, with a queen-size bed in the center, and a dresser made from smooth mahogany across from it. White curtains over the two windows allow the sun's last rays to stream through. Claude bows to you, and says:
"Dinner is at 6:30, sharp. You are obliged to be there."
He leaves, shutting the door quietly behind him.
You wait a few moments after he leaves, and then try to process everything that has happened.
You're in the world of Black Butler.
You met Alois Trancy.
You're a replacement for one of the existing characters.
You can alter the entire story of this show with a single action.
Alois wants you to help him escape his brutal death.
How does he know that he's going to die?
How did he bring you here?
Those questions will (hopefully) be answered in thirty minutes time. The distant chime of a grandfather clock resonates throughout the manor.

Our Unhappy Ending (Alois Trancy x Reader)
FanfictionYou can give Alois Trancy a happy ending. Prevent his death. But not if you fall in love with him first. My first 'x reader' fanfiction. This story is old, and rather cringeworthy in my eyes. I'll keep it up for now, since people seem to like it.
