Insanity had taken its sweet hold on Espex. He was lost in a sea of chaos and uncertainty. The person who lay at his feet clasped his hands together and started to whisper. Espex still staring wildly at Samth just smiled at his opponent’s weakness. Samth looked at her blood fuelled, stained and maddened companion with fear. The man with the biggest bounty in Skov was now standing in a hall full of Asura warriors and he was at the precipices. He was the best, the mightiest and the wicked.

“I am free!! Years of not feeling right, not ever quite in the mood for a fight, never wanting to enjoy myself all that fear. Gone! Can you imagine how great I feel right now? My dear Samth why would I stop? I haven’t been this free since I was a child. I will not stop; I don’t think I ever want to stop. My blood is boiling the excitement is tearing me apart!” Espex boomed towards his fellow Asura, his speech more a threat towards them than a statement, an unholy promise.

Grix now awake made his way up Samths shoulder ready and waiting.

Samth and Grix both slammed their hands together in prayer, mana swirled around them. Fare just looked at the young girl and the strange creature give off an atmosphere she had forgotten in her old age, defiance.

“Then I will stop you!” Samth said as Grix followed up with a bark.

Espex smirk just widened. “I have travelled with you for months now. Your advancement is nothing short of amazing, but you still lack what it takes to take me on.” Confidence booming from Espex, Samth knew this as a fact he wasn’t boasting for the sake of it, she knew she was outgunned. Espex spent years fighting and nearly always outmanned and on his own. He was a killing machine, Samth had a few encounters but nothing she couldn’t handle, and she wasn’t ready for this. Fure at her side stomped her old foot into the ground breaking the wooden boards. Samth turned her head towards Fure still collecting mana,

“Girl you shall not fight alone, I will break my unruly grandson with you.” Fure braced herself for combat throwing her walking stick away.

“Fools, Samth I can understand but you? An old bat that can’t even fly anymore is going to go against me? “

“This old bat still has her fangs!”

“So be it, your beating will be an example to all.”

“Ventus Murum!” Screamed Samth,

A giant wall of wind pushed forward towards Espex, a move he had taught Samth was now flying towards him, the wooden floor boards cracked and sprayed, wood chips flew towards Espex like small daggers. Fure following the wave of wind ready to attack a dazed Espex, a perfect plan. Grix still on Samth’s shoulder was still molding his mana, waiting and buying his time, He knew Espex the best.

“This level of magic will not stop me!” Holding out his right arm Espex used pure power to block the wind wall, Fure now in full run did her best to undercut Espex but his speed was too much for the old women, he dodged with a jump and as he landed kicked Fure in her old jaw, She was skilled enough to immediately jump back towards Samth.

“I am not done yet!” screamed Samth “Ventus Pes! Chikyu Kibe!”

Bursting forth wind surrounded Samth increasing her speed, Grix still attached to her shoulder just held on with his feet as his hands still prayed. As Samth burst forth towards a madness stricken Espex, the earth below him began to rumble and a great wall of earth shot forth from the broken floor boards, using his new found speed he easily managed to jump back. This is where he fell into Samth’s trap. Fure was already waiting for this opening she met up with him midair and landed an intense blow into his torso, a stream of blood spewed forth from his mouth. As Espex landed, Grix barked.

The air around Espex just stopped. Then a sudden pop from his eardrums.

“No!” Espex knew this spell. He also knew once in it, there was no getting out.

“Grix what did you do?” Samth asked her small blue companion. He simply barked and pointed towards Espex.

Espex now stood, floating in midair, he looked almost squished together.

“Wind element, searing wind prison.” Samth and Fure turned towards the hooded man speak; he was standing on the newly exposed earth. “It is a very high level spell, few in Skov can perform in, and once inside the more you push out the tighter the cell gets. All made by wind off course.”

“You know a lot about magic for an Asura?” Fure said as she was rubbing her sore jaw.

“That is true.” The man said as he pulled his hood off. “But travelling around Skov has made me aware of a lot in this world.”

Samth couldn’t believe what he looked like, neither could Fure, Espex just looked at his beaten opponent and howled screaming. Rage seemed to take its firm hold on Espex again. The more he screamed the tighter his cell got and the more blood that spewed out his mouth.

“Brother please stop.”

Fure spoke but it was stunned words. “It… can’t be…. Dypes?”

He looked a lot like Espex, He was however taller, his hair was short; brown as were his eyes and his jaw was squarer than Espex’s.

Tears rolled down Espex screaming face, a sight Samth had never seen before.

“Yeah it’s me granny.” Dypes said with a smile on his face, all the beating he took from Espex gone, no sign of blood or damage. Dypes turned to Samth and bowed his head. “I am so sorry for trying to kill you, Do not worry it was only to free Espex, I would have missed your vitals.”

Samth just puffed up her face and gave him a sharp look.

“I needed to free Espex from the seal the old man put on him all them years ago. He needs to be strong for what is coming next.”
