One week later.

Sitting on his white stone throne the great king sat in silence. His mood low and his temperament explosive, like always his beloved sat next to him doing what she does best, knitting. Both sat in silence for a while. The news Coext had just heard shattered his world and plans.

“Dear are you ok?”  No reply came from the king he just sat in a dismay staring at the red carpet on his floor. “We can change your plans can’t we?” compassion in her voice.

“No… he was the key, I needed him. His ability to summon creatures was what I wanted; I could have made an army from them so none of my people would die. I needed him for peace!” his voice rising as did his temper. “But he couldn’t see that! All he did was travel around the world causing mischief, hurting my knights then he caused the civil war that is draining my resources!” His old voice boomed around the great hall he and his wife sat. “Why did I let him walk out of here years ago?! If I hadn’t he may still be alive and my goals for peace with him!” tears rolled down the old kings face. A dream so worked for shattered.

“Hush my king.” His wife whispered gently into her husband’s ears.

“Hush nothing wife what shall I do now? All that is left is to crush the rebellion but that may be harder than I thought. You have heard the reports the foreign reaper has entered our country. Unmatched with the blade, there is only one who could possibly face him and he is missing! He will surely take Espex place on top of the bounty boards and what if he is signed by the rebellion mages? All I need is him to join them and I am in trouble! Then there is Dypes Espex brother a monster as a child god knows what he is now that he is free”

“Hush my king; I have things in motion and information that may give hope in this dim situation.”

“Oh and that would be?”

“Espex had an apprentice Samth, she was around him a lot and she must know of his spells. If we capture her we could maybe still acquire your army?”

Life entered the dead eyes of the king once more. “What of my other problems?”

“I have my three hunters finding the sword saint to fight off the reaper whilst hunting Dypes and Tate is only a matter of time they will be down hearted knowing that Espex is dead. Moral will be low this is the time to strike!”

A smile wider than any open hall door grew on the king’s old face as he spoke. “Oh my lovely wife I do love you, what would I do without you?”

The king summoned in one of his messengers who stood below the king kneeling in respect.

“Pass this on, from this moment on the foreign reaper Jmor shall be placed as highest bounty and the second will be Samth the Angelic, She however must be found and captured alive!”

The messenger nodded and before the king could take a breath the messenger was out of the great hall.

“There is still hope my love, still hope. The world will become peaceful I just know it. Espex may be gone but he left a piece of himself in his student. I need that. I look forward to the coming days.”
