The thick feeling consumed the three brothers as they waited in the snow. The cold bitter air heavier than usual. Sweat dropped down all three brothers heads. An expression of uncertainty on all their faces. Dan was the first to speak.

“What is this? I have never felt anything like it?”

“I agree brother this certainly is unusual.” Kyle added as he wiped his brow.

“It’s him. Its Espex, he must have transformed.” Junior said as he stroked his missing, scarred eye. “We move now!”

Confusion on his brothers faces. “What do you mean he move now? You can feel that can’t you! This is madness.” Dan barked out.

“Fool this is the best time, if he needs to exert himself this much then we strike now when he is distracted.” A large grin spread across his mauled face. “Be a shame not to kill him at full power.”

“Capture remember, capture our job is to get him alive.”

Junior just laughed and nodded agreeing with Kyle.

“New plan, we just storm the great hall and target Espex.”

Kyle and Dan just nodded at their brothers orders. Junior pulled out a pair of large metallic gauntlets that he placed on his hands, the tips of each finger held a large long blade. A master of close range combat, Junior had only ever been beaten by Espex and forever shamed for it. Kyle simply smashed his fists together and readied himself, he did not believe in weapons always relying on his god given gifts and that was his speed. Lastly Dan clapped his hands together and chanted, a large white beam formed in front of him and a large white scythe appeared. It was large than Dan stood and heavier than any man. Years of carrying it and mastering its style had made Dan a man of pure muscle, able to break stone with his fists all thanks to the white scythe.

“Brothers may we hunt well.” A cheer followed by all three as they howled the Barker howl.

The three brothers burst through the snow towards the town and the great hall. The closer they got the heavier the air was. Kyle wondered what it must be like inside the hall. Dan ran with his white weapon behind him leaving a large trail as the blade dragged across the ground. Running loose with his hands behind his back, the only thought going through Juniors head had revenge.

“Today Espex, today is the day I take your life.”

Dan just gave junior a worrying look while Kyle focused on the upcoming battle. What were the three brothers about to face? A battle of untold skill, a battle that would be handed down from one generation to another or would it be a silent story only passed down to the victors family? Many things uncertain only one thing was. People would die, blood would be spilled, and the only winner today would be the reaper.

After a minute of running they reached the hall and without stopping, Dan picked up his scythe and slashed at the heavy thick doors, destroying them completely. A wave on heat and pressure met the brothers. Unflinching they continued forward, fear in the hearts of all three. They were met by a large group of fighters all ready and able, but it was not for them, it was for the creature in the center of the room. Dan could not believe his eyes nor could Kyle. A monster purple head to toe, larger than two men and wings the width of the hall. A demon truly stood in front of them.

A battle cry came from Junior as he charged forward through the Asura hands ready.

“Espex you are mine!”

Dan or Kyle had no time to shout they just followed their brother’s lead, charging forward. Brothers three came and knocked on the demons door, would brothers three leave afterwards? This thought entered Kyle’s head. All he could see was a grim fate indeed
