In a main room of the large castle sat two very important beings, the King and his Queen. Both sat on large white stone chairs that were much larger than they. The king wore a large red robe of the finest material in all the land and had great blue detailed armour underneath it. The ground beneath the king and queens feet was of a fine red material soft to touch but rare to find. Kneeling a few feet away from the king and queen of Skov was the first holy knight of the Ones.
The kings voice bold and commanding "Rise my loyal Knight." Doing as commanded the knight rose to his feet. Clanking as he did so as the armour he wore was heavy and large. It was all white and had been engraved with runes of magic. A large red cape on his back and a helmet in his hands the brave knight spoke to his king.
"Sir I have word of Demon Walker. "
The King leaned forward his old face almost detached from his body. "Do tell Sir Kruem."
"My spy's tell me he is in the white city of Gord."
Leaning back to his chair he stroked his old long white beard once more. "Send two legions to Gord at once! I want the Mage sitting in front of me by weeks out, Oh and Kruem." The knight looked at the king his tanned skin shinning in the rooms light. A scar from his right cheek to his left was most ill attractive. "I want you to go for this one, Take another of the Ones, also." The knight touched his scar and smirked then bowed and swiftly left.
The king and his wife both sat in the room alone and in silence. The queen turned to her old husband and began to talk in her gentle old voice. "Why do we need this Mage? Don't we already have plenty?"
The king looked at his wife with his blue eyes. "I will explain again my dear. I need Espex for the final stage in my plan to bring peace to this world. His ability to summon could be my new source of army. Don't you see, No longer will I have to sacrifice my countrymen losing blood on border patrol against other kings. No longer will I have to send children into battle. Espex is the army. He is a key piece I have found and converted many other unique Mage. I just need Espex Demon Walker then I can begin the progress of peace, magic is truly unique!" His voice more and more energetic as he spoke "I will be known as the greatest king in the entire world. They will call me King Coext bringer of peace!"
His wife sat just looking at him with big blue eyes. "That's nice dear, want some tea?"
The king sighed and sat back "I love you but I wish you had a little interest in what I am trying to achieve."
Samth woke up in a small room that needed a good clean, the bed she was on was old used and very uncomfortable. She groaned a little as she pushed herself up with her small skinny arms. Looking around the room she could only see four walls and a door barely hanging on to its frame. She could hear people talking outside the room but thought nothing of it. Her bag with all her things was on the floor next to the bed; she promptly picked it up and put it around her small shoulders. The crappy door opened and a figure came in that made Samths red lips smirk. Grix the small creature that had blue fur and walked like a human with red trousers walked in barking with joy. Grix was fast and went to a place he was comfortable with, Samths shoulders. His speed was amazing he manage to burst from the door to Samths shoulder in the blink of an eye he was a good climber. He was only just bigger than a cat or smaller depended on the cat you scaled him against. Once Grix was on her Espex walked in. His long purple hair was now short but his glowing purple eyes still the same. Samth could not believe it he looked so different with short hair. His face was a lot easier to see. It was a ghost white and rounded so almost like he should be fat.
"Wow you look different Espex!" Samth shouted.
Rubbing his now very short hair he smiled "Yea I miss it. Well done in your match."
"Thanks I am still a little sore."
"No wonder." chuckled Espex "After you got off the arena you collapsed. Too much Mana usage in short time. I brought you here to rest."
Her usual pale face was now completely red "How long was I sleeping?"
Still rubbing his new hair he replied "Oh say about two days."
"Two days!" Samth could not believe it.
"Don't worry about it anyway I have somewhere I want to take you so come." He left after speaking making Samth follow.
The Inn that Espex had gotten was run down and probably forgotten. It stank and the clients where a lot like the building old, smelly and dark. Down a corridor they came to a large double door. Then Espex turned around.
"OK behind this door it's time for you to be a girl once more."
Confused Samth asked. "What do you mean?"
"Since we left your village you haven't bathed. Your long blonde hair is now greasy and unkempt and you haven't relaxed. All you have done is train. In here is a woman who will cut your hair, a bath with nice smelly things, so enjoy yourself. Oh and Grix could use a bath too. Take him." The creature barked in argument but was ignored and Samth entered the room. Espex still outside whispered to himself. "Enjoy it because hard times are coming lass. I can feel it..."
