Dypes was strong and lean; he seemed to spread strength from himself to others. The other Asura in the room just stood silently watching this scene unfold. Two brothers lost now found both monsters of Asura blood, one insane another genius. Samth couldn’t help but stare at him and wonder is this Espex would look like without his demon magic? Is this the Espex without magic?

“Brother please be quite, stop fighting calm down and control yourself.” His voice much like Espex, lower but with the same strange accent.

More blood spewed from an enraged screaming Espex. The whites of his eyes now crying crimson.

“Brother Stop you are killing yourself! The prison will only get tighter!” Panic in Dypes voice, he turned to Grix “Release the spell!” Grix just shrugged and barked, Dypes and Samth knew he couldn’t.

“Control! You want control I will give it! I will never lose to you again. Brother!” Each word ripped out of Espex bloody mouth.

“Tharrek Fuzjoni Tal-Gisem!!”

“Espex No!!” Samth knew this spell, she hated it. She saw it once and once she hoped would be the last. The reason his title exists. Espex the Demon Walker.

“What is this?” Dypes screamed at Fure and Samth.

“He is going to transform.” Samth said, already defeated. Grix began to bark and howl. Clasping his hands together he started to summon mana.

Dypes spun towards his screaming brother, his skin ripping off him, his teeth growing sharper and longer. The whites of his eyes melting and reforming into lizard purple eyes. His hair morphed and pointed into large spikes. His skin turned purple and started to sprout scales all over. His arms grew as did his legs and became large claws. A tail ripped out his trousers and swirled around his waist. New additions came with this transformation that didn’t happen with the last. Large spikes formed from his elbows, large black wings burst from his back and enveloped him. Whilst inside his screams lowered to a demonic howl. Dypes, Fure, Samth and the Asura all watched in horror.

“What is this?” Dypes demanded.

“This is Espex original magic.” Samth said slowly, she was pale white. “He turns into this demon, he becomes unstoppable. I have only seen it once…” a tear rolled down her red cheek. “He killed everyone… he laughed through the entire thing… He just laughed.”

Fure did not take her old eyes off the covered Espex. “Asura the brave will stay and fight the Lord; we must awaken him from this madness. The Asura who die, die a good death, the ones who flee tell the others of our bravery.” Her words law and gave strength to all around her. Not a single Asura moved from their spot all ready to die, all ready to fight.

More tears ran down Samth’s face. “I know what he must do…”

“What is that lass?” asked Fure,

“We must kill him.” Fure could not believe what she was hearing.

“You are his companion! What wild talk is that from you?”

“I know him!  This isn’t Espex. This is what he has feared since I met him. He has lost himself to the demon!” Anger and sadness in Samth’s voice.

“Can’t you feel it?” Dypes finally spoke looking at his cocooned brother. “This mana concentration is godly. Samth is right, my brother must die.”

“Not you too! He is our lord and your brother!”

“Do you think it will be easy for me to kill him? After all these years I get to meet him only to kill him!”

Samth just stood and clasped her hands together, summoning mana to her side. “Please I need a few minutes to activate this technique. It will do the job.”

Fure turned in anger “What you have a spell to kill him! Why would you have such a thing?”

“Silence Gram! She was smart enough to see ahead, she may be our saving grace!” Dypes barked back. “But she may not need to do it; I also have a way to… kill him.”

Fure’s old eyes full of anger and hate just turned away from Dypes and Samth.

The mana in the room exploded out from Espex. Wings fully open he destroyed the wind prison and landed on his feet. Taller than two men on shoulders. His wings expanded from one side of the hall to the other. His demonic form fully exposed. Eyes burning purple with hate and madness. The wooden floor beneath Espex cracked and broke under his weight and pressure of mana. He looked down at himself and smiled before looked up at a small army of Asura, Samth, Grix, Dypes and Fure at the front. His breath formed a large cloud of steam and his breathing was loud and clear.

“This saddens me boy.” Fure said as she looked at her monster grandson.

 “Espex isn’t home.”
