Guys! I'm writing this from a laptop and so that mean this is the first chapter I'll be writing on a laptop! *laughing emoji* It feels kinda weird since I always write my stories on my phone but just wanted to try it out. Anyways, I'm just gonna advertise my life savors, Cimorelli, as I type this I am listening to their newly released revised song "I'm a Mess" just listen to it <3

(Unedited)

Anyways,

LET'S GO!

~~

Water was filling my lungs as I tried to swim my way back up to the top. No one was coming down to get me. I would try and scream but no one would hear me anyways and waters would just fill my body more. My head began getting heavy as my heart went ballistic.

~~

"Naomi."

My eyes flew open and I made a huge gasp for air as I sat straight up. I felt beads of sweat go down my forehead as I caught up with my heart beat.

"You're okay now." Sean said as he rubbed my back.

"Thanks for waking me up." I breathed.

"No problem." He patted my back lightly.

"What time is it?" I asked as I noticed it was still dark.

"Almost sunrise." He stretched his legs out before he got up from his sitting position.

He then holds his hand out to me and says, "Let's watch the sky rise."

Why does he say "sky rise" and not "sunrise"? Well because from the neighborhood we live in, the sun rises very far from our sight. That might be the case, but that doesn't mean we can't watch the sky regain its colors once again.

I smiled and took his hand, "What a great way to start my morning."

He pulled me up and smiled back, "Spending mornings with things and people I love are always the best."

He threw his arm around my shoulder and nudged him at how cheeky he sounds.

"You're so lame." I chuckled as we took our seats at the edge of his roof.

"I know, but that's why you love me." He grinned widely, showing all his teeth.

I laugh at him and push him slightly.

"Hey! You do know we're at the edge of a roof right?" He reminds me even if it wasn't necessary.

"Well you're being a doofus!" I laughed.

I bet you're wondering why I prefer to sit on the edge of roof tops. Like, "Aren't you scared?!" or "You might fall!" To me it's just a small reminder to myself to always take risks and remember to always trust yourself. Trust yourself that you won't make yourself fall or mess up. I also enjoy the feeling of being able to dangle your feet without restraint of any ground or flooring. It gives me a sense of freedom in a way.

"It's starting." Sean whispered as I snapped out of my train of thoughts.

I looked up from my dangling feet and watched as the sky turned from black to shades of dark red and purple. I felt the need to hold my breath as I slowly watched its color change again, but this time to shades of pink, lavender, and blue. Time felt like forever before the sky turned completely blue.

"That was amazing." I breathed as I looked back to Sean.

"Life is amazing." He smiled, still looking at the sky.

"Life is amazing."

Is it really?

"Not for everyone." I looked back down to my feet and tapped my feet together.
