Grayson's POV:

"What was up with her?" I asked myself as we separated ways.

"What?" April butts in.

"Not you." I scoffed.

"Well then stop talking to yourself out loud, you idiot." She slapped the back of my head.

My back stiffens and I give her a cold stare.

"Touch me again and you're gonna fly all the way back to the park." I warned.

"Whatever. Let's just get to dad." She crosses her arms and heads to the car that was waiting for us.

We enter and he waits intently for details.

"Well?" He asked impatiently.

I shut the door and ran my fingers through my black hair.

"It went alright but the girl you're looking for-- wasn't there."

"You idiot. Yes, she was." He put his grip on the steering wheel and started speeding down the road like he always does.

"No, it was only Gabe and Naomi." I stated.

"You dumbass, Naomi is Avery Sky."

"What?" I turned my head to him in disbelief. "How do you know?"

He just smirks and shakes his head, "There will be a time where I will tell you, but for now tell me what happened. Do they trust you?"

I really wanted to know what he was hiding but I just shook it off and leaned back down on my seat.

"Well, it was going well until I ran into her."

"Then what?"

"Then I accidentally placed my hands on her waist and she started freaking out and crying." The memory still fresh in my thoughts.

"You what?!" He stomped on the gas and I almost hit the dash board.

Luckily, the seat belts lock instantly and holds us down.

"Dad!" April screeched from the back seat and punched his seat.

"Shut up! Are you really an idiot?!" He grasps onto my shirt and pulls me towards him.

"It was accident and we're fine now!" I pushed him off.

"You guys better be!" He pointed his finger at me. "You better not ruin my plans!"

"Okay!" I threw my hands in the air in annoyance.

"Remember! You got to befriend them if not then just Avery! I don't really care about the boy. Then we take her! Alright?!"

"I get it! Now stop yelling at my face!" I barked back.

"Wait, we can't get the boy?" April interuppts.
