Things are getting interesting in the upcoming chapters I promise. This chapter was just a warm up.

LET'S GO!

~~

Naomi's POV:

"Naomi?"

We both freeze at our tracks and my heart drops down to my stomach.

I grip tighter onto Sean's hand and I can already feel my hands sweating. It was gross-- I was nervous. I can't help it.

"Naomi?"

Sean tugged me a little closer when the voice got closer and I sucked in a ball of air to prepare myself.

"Nao-- Oh I'm sorry. I thought you were someone else."

I exhaled my relief away as Sean and I gave eachother a relieved look.

"Oh, it's fine." The girl replies.

"Come on." Sean whispers to me, tugging my hand lightly.

I nod softly and we continue our escape from this demented place.

"Wait," I stopped the both of us from walking. "What about Gabe?" I asked, starting to fill with worry again.

"I'm sure he can handle himself. Also, he only asked for you Naomi-- so let's go before he notices." He begins tugging my hand again.

"Okay." I replied, continuing our escape.

We turn to the corner of our school and he suddenly stops us.

"I'm just gonna call Serris to pick us up."

"Okay." I nodded, letting go of his hand.

He then shoves his hand in his pocket and pulls out his phone. He starts dialing the number and brings it up to his ear.

"Serris?"

"Yes, I know I'm not supposed to using my phone in school."

"But I'm not in class right now. Please don't tell mom or dad." He begged.

"I was supposed to call someone to pick me up anyways because I wasn't feeling good." He then gives me a quick glance before looking back up. "Then something important came up."

"Believe me it's important."

Why do I find listening to him talk on the phone awkward?

"I had to sneak Naomi out of school." He admits, rocking to his toes then to his heels.

"Can I just please explain it to you later? We're kinda in a hurry." Sean grew impatient.

"Thank you." He mumbled. "We're here at the west side of the school."

"Bye."

He ends the phone call and shoves his phone back into his pocket. He turns his direction back to me and a smile creeps at the side of his lips.

"What?" I asked as I furrowed my eyebrows at him.

"The hoodie is so big on you." He snickered.

I look down to examine myself then back at him.

"It's comfortable so I don't really care." I shrugged.

"So what do you want to do while we wait for practice?" He asks, shoving his hands casually in his pockets.

"Go on your roof." I admitted.

"Need to think?"

I can't believe he still remembers that.
