Chapter 3:
~~~Jezebelle's POV~~~
My head was pounding and the annoying beeping sound was only making it worse. I slowly opened my eyes and felt a piercing pain in my ribs. I sat up, ignoring the pounding of my head and pain in my chest. I looked at my arms and ripped out the IV and unhooked myself from the heart monitor. I stood up and started walking to the door until I realized that I only had my undergarments on.
I growled in annoyance and found my cloak on the floor. I put it over me and pushed out of the room. I walked down the dark corridor, trying to find Xavier's scent. I got to a corner and his scent engulfed me.
I heard a low growl, "What're you doing?" Xavier stood in front of me with his arms crossed across his chest, he looked very intimidating, "I was down in the infirmary or whatever it was and now I'm trying to find my way back to the room." He just stood there with an unimpressed look on his face, "Why did you leave the infirmary?" I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest, "Cause I did, now can I have some help getting to the kitchen? I haven't eaten in about a week." Xavier grumbled, "Fine," He turned and walked down the hall.
I followed him and we took so many turns that I lost count. We got to the kitchen and Xavier turned to face me, "I have to go do paperwork and shit. I'll have Alex watch over you." I nodded my head and went to grab some food.
As I was rummaging through the cabinets and fridge, I heard someone walk in, "Why do you have that cloak on again?" Alex said and I turned to face him, leaning against the counter, "I wear it because I can and I have no clothes." He smiled widely, "You have no clothes under that thing?" I rolled my eyes and couldn't help the smile that formed on my face, "Its no a big deal, I have undergarments, I'm not completely naked under this." He shrugged a shoulder, "Still..." I slapped his shoulder lightly and he chuckled softly.
I finally found some decent food and inhaled it quickly, "Jeez, you eat that like you haven't eaten in days!" I looked up at him, "I haven't eaten in a week, thanks." I growled and finished off my food. I took care of my dishes and jumped up onto the counter, "So...what now?" I ask awkwardly. Alex shrugs, "I don't know, do you have any training?" I look at him and growled lowly, "What the hell do you think? I have taken offense and defense classes with humans, but I've been a rogue since I was twelve, so no, I don't have any training." He stood up and headed down a foreign hallway to me, "Well, then looks like we found something to do." I jumped down and followed him.
We got to a training room with a huge blue mat and exercising machines. He walked onto the mat and looked at me expectantly, "Are you well enough to train? You still look pale and scrawny." I huffed, "Thanks for the compliment, but I'm pretty sure I'll live." I ran at him and punched him in the gut, making him grunt and double over in pain. I put my hands on my hips, "See, I think I'm well enough. What do you think?" He looked up at me and had pain written all over his face, "I think you're good." He groaned.
I smiled and he regained composure. I got into a fighting stance and Alex threw his fist at me, but I caught it and laughed, "Nobody told you about the incident in the kitchen, did they?" He looked confused and I flipped him over onto his back.
I looked down at him, "You just got your ass handed to you by a she-wolf, bro. That's gotta hurt." A male voice said and I looked over at Jason, "Jason, right?" He nodded, "Yup, that's me. You are?" I shook my head, "I'm not sayin." He rolled his eyes, "Come on, I'm not that bad of a person. It's not like I'm going to kill you." I growled, "Jezebelle." He looked me up and down, "Whats up with the cloak?" I crossed my arms across my chest, "I don't have anything else to wear." His eyes lit up in amusement, "That's cool, I guess. What size are you?" My eyes widened, "What?!" Jason helped Alex up, "I'm just kidding. You need an actual fighting partner. Alex is the pack doctor, he's not much of a fighter." I smirked, "Okay, then give me a fight." Jason smiled, but Alex looked worried, "But, you aren't in the greatest condition -"
