Chapter 7:

"You thought you could hide forever, didn't you?" Electricity shot through my entire body, pain engulfing me whole.
I tried pulling out of the restraints, but by the burning feeling I got whenever I touched them, I knew it was silver. I heard a click, "You thought your hood would protect you," The pain was even worse and I arched my back, gritting my teeth and grunted, holding back a scream.
It stopped and sweat beaded my face. I was exhausted, I couldn't fight, "You thought you could fight us," Another click and the pain increased ten times worse.
I screamed, tears streaming down my cheeks, "You thought you were safe! But you were wrong!" The pain increased even more and I screamed again and blackness consumed me.

I woke up and Xavier was hovering over me. He had worry written all over his face, "Are you okay?" He asked and I nodded, "Yeah, I-I'm fine." I answered, my voice shaking.
He shook his head, "No, you're not. I felt your pain, something is wrong." I shook my head, "I'm fine, Xavier, really. It was just a dream." It definitely didn't feel like it, though. I still felt the burning on my wrists and ankles.
He growled, "Jezebelle, something's wrong, I felt your pain, you were screaming and crying in your sleep. We haven't fully mated yet, so I wouldn't have been able to feel your pain unless it was bad." I growled loudly, "Xavier, I'm fine, for fucks sake!" I got out from under him and headed towards the bathroom, but Xavier pinned me against the wall.
His eyes were pitch black and were filled with anger, "Tell me what's wrong!" I roared furiously, "Nothing is wrong! It was a fucking dream!" He growled and pushing me harder against the wall and I knew I was digging a deeper hole.
"It wasn't just a dream, Jezebelle! Tell me what caused that damn pain!" I frosted his hands over and he let go. I yelled, "Nothing is wrong! It was a goddamn dream! Just leave it the fuck alone!" I went into the bathroom, slamming the door behind me.
I looked in the mirror and saw that my eyes were pitch black. I growled and looked away.
It was only a dream, I've had one like that before.
I was pissed. Pissed at Xavier for making a big deal out of a fucking dream, pissed for arguing after making progress. Never have I felt like this.
I heard a loud growl and knew it was Xavier and the bedroom door slammed closed. I rolled my eyes, "Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" I jumped when Brent knocked. I sighed, "No, I'm fine. He was being over dramatic." I walked out and Brent was sitting on the bed, "About what?" I ran my hand through my hair, "I had a dream and I was restrained with silver cuffs and being electrocuted. I guess he felt my pain."
Brent's mouth made an 'O' and I sat down next to him, "He really irritates me sometimes, and I've only been here for a month or so." Brent shrugged, "Yeah, sometimes. He's just really stubborn and headstrong."
"Yeah, I know that." I sighed and laid down, "We were making progress, but I guess that went downhill." Brent put his hand on my knee, "Just give him time, he's still new to this whole mate thing." I closed my eyes, "Okay, but not too much longer, I'm getting sick of not having a very friendly mate." Brent stood up and walked out.
~~~Xavier's POV~~~
I growled loudly when she didn't come back out. I stormed out of the room and walked past Brent. I headed towards the gym, but felt a prick in my side. I grunted and looked at Alexander, "I'm sorry I have to do this, Alpha, but Brent told me he needs me to do this. Again, I'm sorry." I growled and felt my eyes close and I fell asleep.
