Hospital Trip

Niya's P.O.V

Today I want to get tested to see if I am HIV positive or not. Me and Jacob have been texting all day he's a really nice and funny guy. In a way he reminds me of the other Jacob. I hopped in the shower and brushed my teeth after I brushed my teeth and took a shower. I got dressed In some ripped jeans an ovoxo sweater and some black chucks and wore my hair straight. I headed to mcdonalds to get me some breakfast then headed to the doctors office. I sat in the lobby and waited for them to call my name

nurse: Laniya Smith Dr. Jones is ready to see you.

I walked in and sat on the table as he walked in

Dr. Jones: Hello ms. smith can you pull up your sleeve for me.

I pulled up my sleeve as he wiped a spot in my arm and grabbed his needle and stuck it in my arm. I closed my eyes shut I hate needles so much. He took the needle out and put it in a tray.

Dr. Jones: We will give you the information on if you are HIV Positive or not in 2 weeks.

Damn 2 weeks I need to know now.

Laniya: *smiles* thank you

Dr. Jones: Have a nice day

niya: you too

I walked out and saw to 3 nurses carrying a man with an afro on a gurney. I continued walking when I realized it was jacob.

niya: Oh my gosh

I ran to one of the nurses

niya: what happened to him

nurse: he tried to commit suicide he overdosed on pills

I covered my mouth and waited in the lobby along with his mom, craig and kyaira.

niya: happy birthday craig

craig: thanks *smiles*

niya: hi ms. perez

ms. perez: hi niya

niya: how'd y'all find out

craig: he sent me and kyaira a text last night saying goodbye and we opened it this morning and went over to his house and saw him on the floor with pill bottles surronding him.

kyaira: I wonder why he tried to kill himself

niya: *shrugs* I bet you don't wanna celebrate your birthday at the hospital

craig: its fine thats my boy

niya: *nods*

Early That Morning

Craig's P.O.V

kyaira jumped on top of me kissing me all over my face

kyaira: happy birthday baby

craig: *smiles* thank you *kisses her* I checked my phone to see if I got any texts and I did from Chres, Jasmine, Niya, Ashli, Rayan, my mom and dad and brother then there was a text from jacob that didn't say happy birthday. I stared at it weird. Kyaira looked up from her phone making a weird face too.

kyaira: what you making that face for

craig: Jacob sent me a text last night saying goodbye

kyaira: that's weird he sent me the same thing.

I got up and ran to brush my teeth and got dressed I grabbed my keys and phone.

Craig: come on kyaira

We both hopped in my car and I drove to his house. I tried to open the door it was locked. I looked for an extra key so did kyaira and we didn't find anything. I kept pushing the door hard with my shoulder till it opened. We both walked in.
