-Alyssa's POV-

I walked out into my backyard to see my best friend, D'Angelo Russell, playing basketball with my hoop.

"Sir, did I give you permission to use my hoop?"I asked, crossing my arms. He looked over at me and chuckled. "You told me you were going to take a shower, so instead of just sitting inside, I decided to practice a few moves,"he reasoned.

I sighed,"All you do is play basketball." D'Angelo shrugged. "It's my life. All I do is play basketball pretty much. I play it for a living, Alyssa." "That is true,"I agreed.

He smiled and walked up to me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he put his hands on my back.

"Give your best friend a kiss,"D'Angelo said, puckering his lips. I laughed,"Ew, no!" "Aye ma, that's pretty rude,"he commented. I gave him a smile. "You know I love you, D. But we're just friends. That isn't going to change, even if you do have a little crush on me,"I said.

D'Angelo sighed and dropped his hands to my waist. "I know, but you should give me a chance, to take you on a date or something,"he insisted.

I looked at the basketball on the ground. "You know what D? Let's make this fun. Let's play one on one. If you beat me, I'll go on a date with you. If I win, this discussion about us dating ends forever,"I dealt. D'Angelo smirked. "Yeah, okay. I like that."

I picked up the ball and tossed it to D'Angelo. "You take it first. First person to 20 wins,"I instructed. D'Angelo passed the ball back. "No, lady first,"he said. I shrugged. "Okay, fine."

I dribbled the ball around D'Angelo and did a layup to get the ball into the basket. I smirked and tossed D'Angelo the ball. "Your turn."

D'Angelo crossed me, shot the ball, and scored. I grabbed the ball and quickly dribbled past him, but missed the shot. D'Angelo got the rebound and scored.

He gave me a grin and announced,"I'm winning." I took the ball out of his hands and rolled my eyes. "Don't get too confident boo,"I warned.

I had a strategy up my sleeve that I knew could win me the game. I just needed to use it at the right time, and this was it.

"Hey D!"I called. He looked up at me. I quickly lifted my shirt, causing his jaw to drop and he just froze. I laughed and dribbled past him and got an easy bucket. D'Angelo was still just standing there, mouth and eyes wide open. "Chill, it's just a bra,"I laughed, aggressively shoving the ball into his chest. He wrapped his hands around it.

"Damn girl, you been treating that body well,"D'Angelo spoke. "There's plenty more where that came from,"I teased as I got into position.

As D'Angelo started moving towards the hoop, I knocked the ball out of his hands and shot at the hoop. The ball spun around the hoop a few times and then went in. I cheered, jumping up and down. "Let's go baby!"I screamed. D'Angelo chuckled and shook his head.

Soon, the score was 18-18. "Next bucket wins,"D'Angelo announced as I handed him the ball.

He tried to dribble straight to the net, but I jumped on his back.

"Hey, hey! Foul!"D'Angelo shouted. I laughed and shouted back,"Nope! No call!" "Okay then.I see how this is, Alyssa,"he replied, letting go of the ball and gripping my thighs so that I wouldn't fall. I accidentally let out a little moan. D'Angelo looked up at me. My eyes widened. "Just uh, put me down,"I quickly said.

D'Angelo lost his balance and fell forward. I landed on top of him. Our lips were only a few inches apart. I could feel his warm breath on my face.

I broke out of the little trance I was in and quickly stood up. D'Angelo got up as well.

"Um, so it's my ball, right?"he asked awkwardly. I nodded quickly. D'Angelo picked up the ball and dribbled it between his legs quickly and then drove to the basket. I couldn't do anything but watch him dunk the ball.

"Aye! I win!"D'Angelo cheered, throwing his arms in the air. He lifted me up in the air and spun me around.

Then he put me down and said,"We're going on a date tonight, okay?" I sighed and nodded. "Okay D'Angelo. It's only fair that I go through with this,"I agreed. He smiled and replied,"Don't worry. It'll be totally fun." "It better be,"I responded, earning laughs from him.
