This one is for itsmari-a (: I hope you like it. I really liked writing this since Cory Joseph is one of my baes.

-Maria's POV-

I had just gotten out of one of my university classes, super tired. I had spent all of last night studying for a test and I didn't get any sleep.

I decided to call up my boyfriend and check up on him.

He's a professional basketball player so we don't really get to spend much time together. Long distance relationships are really hard work, but I love my boyfriend too much to just give up on him.

"Hey, this is Cory Joseph. I'm not able to talk right now, so just leave me a message." The beep went off. I sighed. Voice message.

"Um, hey babe. It's me, Maria. Call me when you're free, because I really miss you. Love you,"I left a message.

I put my phone away and walked to my dorm. My dorm mate, Alissa, was in there.

"Hey boo. Why're you looking so down?"she asked. I plopped down on my bed. "I'm extremely stressed out because of my classes. There's so many things to do. And on top of that, Cory's so busy. I don't get to spend any time with him,"I explained.

"Woah, looks like you have a lot on your plate. Let's go out to dinner tonight, with some other friends. It'll get your mind off the stress for a little bit,"Alissa suggested. I nodded. "Yeah, I think that would be good."

"Okay, I'll set it up with some of the girls,"she said, immediately starting to text people. I laughed, throwing my hair over my shoulder. "You're always so ready to do these things,"I realized, shaking my head. Alissa shrugged. "It's a gift,"she said, making me laugh. Oh, what would I do without this woman?

Soon, I got a phone call from Cory. "Hey babe,"I greeted. He replied,"Aye Maria. Sorry for not being able to talk to you earlier. I was busy with something." "It's fine. I understand,"I assured.

"Well, what's up? You good?"he asked. I answered,"I'm just stressed out. Classes are getting really hard. I'm writing tests left and right." I heard Cory sigh. "That's really tough. But you can do it, Maria. You're so smart,"he assured, making me blush. "Thanks Cory,"I mumbled.

"You doing anything tonight?"Cory questioned. I informed,"Yeah, I'm going out for dinner with some of the girls." "Nice. Where you going?"he asked. "My favourite pizza place,"I smiled.

I heard Cory chuckle. "Of course. All you eat is pizza." I defended,"I do not."

"Well I gotta go, baby. I'll see you later. Love you,"Cory said. "Love you too,"I replied before hanging up.

I changed into a summer dress and straightened my short light brown hair. I put on some light makeup and slipped on some flats.

I kissed the necklace around my neck. Cory got it for me when we first started dating and I never take it off. It reminds me of him and makes me really happy.

My friends and I all walked off campus to a nearby pizza place that I love to pieces.

We were eating pizza, just talking and having fun, when someone tapped me on the shoulder.

Alissa's eyes lit up as she looked up at the person. I looked at her, really confused, before turning around.

There was my boyfriend, Cory Joseph, smiling down at me.

I jumped out of my chair, engulfing him in a hug. Cory wrapped his arms around me tightly. "I missed you so much,"he whispered.

I pulled away from the hug and kissed him. I felt his smile against my lips, causing me to grin and pull away.

"I can't believe you didn't tell me you were coming,"I said, hitting him lightly on the chest. He shrugged. "I wanted to surprise you."

"Is that why you didn't pick up earlier?"I questioned. Cory chuckled,"Yeah, I was on the plane."

I held his hand and turned towards the girls. "These are my friends. Girls, this is Cory,"I introduced. Cory gave them all a wave. "Hey. How you all doing?"he greeted. Alissa squealed,"It's so nice to see you again!" "You too Alissa,"Cory replied.

Cory and I decided to ditch the dinner and just go for a walk around campus. It was still pretty sunny regardless of it being evening.

"You look beautiful,"Cory complimented as we walked out of the pizza place. I blushed a bit. "Thanks Cory."

"I just want you to know that no matter how far away I am, I will always be there for you. It sucks that I'm not always around, but I would do anything for you,"Cory said. I gave him a smile. "Thanks Cory. That really means a lot to me. I love you so much,"I replied. Cory smiled. "I love you too, Maria."
