This one's for BaileyHebbert ! Sorry it's kinda short, but I hope you like it nonetheless (:

-Bailey's POV-

"Go OKC!"I shouted at my TV. I groaned as a turnover was created, giving another 2 points to Golden State. I sat back down on the couch. "Come on Steve,"I mumbled.

Steven Adams is my bestest friend ever. We've known each other since he first moved to the United States, and I'm so glad we met.

But the thing is, our friendship is really difficult now. At first, it was easy to be friends. But now that he's busy as can be, we barely ever have time to talk. Maybe that's why I'm at home cheering him on, instead of at the arena screaming my head off.

I watched in horror as the Warriors kept their lead. No matter how much the Thunder tried, the Warriors were still winning.

My stomach turned over as the buzzer rang out. The game was over. The Oklahoma City Thunder are out of the playoffs.

A single tear escaped my eye. I silently watched the Warriors celebrate. Did this really just happen...? I turned the TV off and just sat in silence. Steven's dream is over, just like that.

A while later, I got a text from Steven: Heading home now... I'll see you soon Bailey.

-The Next Day-

I shoved a handful of popcorn into my mouth as the doorbell rang. I quickly swallowed it before running and opening the door.

It was Steven. I immediately jumped onto him and hugged him as hard as I could. "Hey Bailey,"he said.

I stepped away from him and invited him in. We sat on the couch next to each other. I sat in silence not knowing what to say.

Finally, I blurted out,"How are you?"

Steven gave me a small smile. "I'm fine, Bailey. Just upset. It's hard to have the season end so suddenly,"he sighed.

I put my arm around Steven's big shoulders and kissed his cheek. "I'm sorry Steve. I know how hard you and the rest of the team worked to make it to the western conference finals... But be proud of yourself. You did amazing,"I said.

He smiled at me. "Thanks Bailey. I appreciate it."

"On the plus side, we get to spend all summer together!"I exclaimed cheerfully. Steven chuckled, hugging me. "Yes! All season I've been so busy so now's my chance to spend some proper time with you,"he agreed, touching my knee.

I gave him a small smile before saying,"You should sleepover tonight. We'll go to the beach tomorrow morning." Steven nodded,"Yeah, sure."

Steven and I talked for a long time before it got dark. We decided to sleep in my room together, on separate sides of my bed. Steven fell asleep right away. Poor guy's probably emotionally and physically exhausted. I eventually fell asleep too.

I was awoken in the middle of the night because of Steven saying my name. "Bailey... Bailey...."

"Yeah Steve?"I replied.

Steve didn't respond. I turned on my lamp and saw that Steven was completely asleep. Is he sleep talking?

He started talking again,"Bailey, I really love you. Please Bailey.... I love you.  Be my girlfriend... Don't leave me. I love you so much."

My eyes widened. What is going on?

I got out of bed and turned all the lights on. The clock blinked the time at me: 3:24am.

I shook Steven as best as I could, waking him up. He rubbed his eyes as he mumbled,"What time is it?"

"Almost 3:30am,"I replied as Steven sat up in the bed.

"Why'd you wake me up?"

I explained,"You were talking in your sleep... And I heard you saying you loved me, and that... You wanted me to be your girlfriend."

His eyes widened. "Bailey, I'm uh.." He took a deep breath and got out of bed to stand in front of me. "Bailey, it's true. I've loved you for so long but I've been so scared to tell you. Since we first met, I knew we were perfect for each other. I know this isn't the most romantic thing ever, but I'm glad I just admitted that. I don't know how you feel, but I really do love you. I would be honoured to be your boyfriend,"Steven said.

Without warning, I reached up and kissed him. When I pulled away, I said,"I'd love to be your girlfriend, Steve."

He smiled, hugging me. "I'm so glad we're reunited for the summer,"he whispered.

I grinned. "Me too, Steve."
