-Drea's POV-

"Yo Drea!"someone shouted as I was buying food at the grocery store. I turned around and smiled,"Hey Brad."

Bradley Beal is my older brother's best friend. I've known him for as long as I can remember. We basically grew up together in Missouri, and somehow we met again in Washington, as I enrolled into Georgetown University and Bradley got drafted to the Washington Wizards.

It's super weird how we ended up in the same place. I really don't mind though, because I've had a crush on Brad since we were kids. But I feel like he just sees me as a little sister...

Brad spoke,"I haven't seen you in a while. What's up?"

"I've been caught up with university, man. Homework all day, every day,"I sighed.

Brad replied,"Shame. You couldn't just hang out with me once in a while?"

I countered,"Hey, what's your excuse? You haven't been calling me up if I remember correctly." He chuckled and lifted his hands in defeat. "Okay, you got me. But for real, I've just been busy with basketball,"Bradley said.

I laughed and nodded. "I know, I know. I'm just playing with you."

"Hey, you should come hang out with me. We don't really spend time together anymore,"Brad said. I nodded,"Yeah, we should. Let's hang out tonight."

He smiled and agreed,"Okay, let's do it. Wanna come over to my house and chill?"
I answered,"Yeah, that would be great. Text me all the details and whatnot."

Brad nodded. "You got it. See you later Drea."

He walked away and I smiled to myself. I really like Brad. He's such a nice guy and just adorable. I've had the pleasure of knowing him for so long, and I know exactly what kind of person he is.

That night, I drove over to Bradley's house. I rang the doorbell and Brad quickly opened the door.

I smiled and said,"I haven't been here in a while."

Brad chuckled,"Yeah, it's been a long time. Come in."

I stepped inside and took in the familiar surroundings of Brad's living room. It was a bit messy, but what else could you expect from a guy living on his own?

I sat down on one of the couches. "You want some pizza? I ordered some a while ago,"Bradley said.

I asked,"How often do you eat out?" He chuckled and replied,"Pretty much every meal." I shook my head.

"That's not good. Just invite me over and I'll make you food all the time,"I offered. Brad smiled,"You better come through with that then." I laughed,"I will, I will."

Bradley sat down next to me and turned on the TV. "Netflix?"he questioned, holding out the remote. I smiled, taking it.

I scrolled through a bunch of TV shows and movies before deciding on a great show. French Prince of Bel-Air. I clicked on it and Brad immediately laughed.

"Aye Drea, this was our show growing up! You, your big bro, and I watched this so much at y'all's house,"he remembered.

I smiled at the memories. Bradley used to always come over in time to watch Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. My mom used to want to kill us because we rapped the theme song so damn loudly. And we would laugh hysterically. Good times, good times.

Bradley and I started watching, and of course, when the theme song came on we screamed the words. As it ended, we were laughing so hard. I was like laying on Brad as we both were about to cry.

Soon, Brad got up to go get some popcorn. When he came back with the bowl, we both reached in and as cheesy as it sounds, both of our hands touched and our fingers entwined.

I looked up at Brad and he just smiled. "Uh, you gonna let go?"I asked jokingly. He pulled my hand through the popcorn into the air and just looked at our hands.

"You okay there, buddy?"I asked laughing a bit. Bradley snapped out of it and dropped my hand. "Oh, uh sorry,"he muttered. I laughed a bit. "It's alright Brad."

"Can I talk to you about something?"Bradley asked, adjusting his position to look at me better. I nodded and faced him, crossing my legs on the couch.

"So, there's this girl, right? And she's incredible. I've known her for a really long time, and I think I'm in love with her. But you see, I don't think she likes me back,"Bradley said.

It made my heart sting a little, not gonna lie. My crush likes someone?

I asked,"Uh, who's this girl?"

"I don't wanna say. But she's perfect for me. How do I know if she likes me or not?"he asked.

I sighed and said,"You just gotta go for it, Brad. Just take her hands and kiss her. Whatever the reaction might be, it'll be worth it. Because you'll figure out if she likes you back or not. No point in wasting your time just wondering if she likes you."

He nodded. "You're right, Drea."

"So you're gonna go for it?"I questioned. Brad mumbled,"Uh yeah, I think."

I stood up and said,"I have to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back." He nodded, taking a deep breath. "You okay?"I asked. He just nodded.

I went to the bathroom and when I came back, Bradley was standing. "What're you doing?"I asked.

Bradley walked over to me and took my hands into his. Before I could even realize what was happening, Brad's lips crashed onto mine.

I pulled away, eyes wide. That was amazing. Oh my god. Why have I never kissed him before?!

Brad said,"I don't know how you feel about me, but I just want to tell you that I'm in love with you. I have been for so long. I wasn't sure how or when to tell you because I was scared you would reject me. But I just had to take your advice."

He took a deep breath and just looked at me. I responded by placing my lips on his again. I pulled away, smiling.

"I'm in love with you too."
